what a waste of f****g space he is....
skint as I am, I'd happily chip in to buy him a one way ticket to a real dictatorship.... he'd soon 'disappear' after opening that a hole in his face...

Useless hypocrite. If we lived in Nazi Germany, he'd be arrested for speaking out against the Government. He's earned a fortune from his career way back before I was even born, and now he's preaching his socialist crap to a small, hardcore group of lifelong fans in a bid to stay in the public eye. Claims to be from a working-class background, now giving nothing back to society even though he bores us with his pro-charity lectures. Last year he complained that fast food chains and meat-eaters are worse than the Norway massacre. Just pull the plug mate, and I don't just mean your career. Grrrrrrrrugh.
He is the worst type of socialist. He spouts his left views whilst being wealthy . That's easy.

So, you have to be poor to be a socialist? Why's this?

not at all, but I do find his attempts to be seen as a working class hero a bit ridiculous when he's living in a LA mansion and does nothing (to my knowledge) to help the working classes that he seems to be so keen to be a champion of

how much community work does he do for example? does he do anything to help young musicians? not sure he does........too busy hanging out with his cats and big shot celebs

So not only do you have to have holes in your shoes and a thread-bare cardigan to be a socialist you now have to do community work and help young musicians? Some people have a wierd understanding of politics.

not what I said at all

"being a socialist" and "attempting to portray yourself as a champion of the working classes" are quite clearly different

I have no doubt that Morrissey is a socialist.........but he also, and has done for a long time, has been desperate to be seen as a working class hero.........i simply question how you can be that if you're living in one of the richest areas on the planet and do absolutely f*** all to help the working classes (in my knowledge anyway, more than happy to be proved wrong)

nothing to do with him being a socialist

I think its quite funny. Just Morrissey being Morrissey isn't it. Don't see what the fuss is about really.
