Yeah, we all commented on that my dad going: - “why are they preparing for an aerial bombardment? we’re not playing Everton!”

A manager living 20 years in the past. They're down. They should sack him, play younger players, employ some tactics that their fans can get behind.

Or does a panel decide the length of the ban based on the severity of the challenge and previous incidents involving the player?

From what I have read the 3 match suspension is just a guide, more matches can be added and there doesn't seem to be an upper limit

I don’t think it’s fair that his challenge and sending off should ultimately give Sheff United an advantage. I say we let him off the 3 game ban and they have to play him every week.

Can't stand Chris Wilder and his brand of football. The moment you see a long-throw specialist winding one up from the touchline you know you have a coach who doesn't have a clue. Sooner they're back in the Championship, or hopefully lower, the better.

I’m going to be generous. CW is a proud Yorkshireman, an even prouder blade, and has inherited a mess beyond his powers to change. He’s clearly hurting deep inside therefore, yet has to do these stupid post match interviews which must feel humiliating after being thumped so regularly. In the post-match Radio Sussex chat, Warren was tearing Holgate a new one – both for the assault and also him as a player in general – and wondered just why Wilder had signed him. I didn't realise Holgate been shipped out of Everton to Saints at the start of the season ('He made his debut for the club on 2 September 2023 in a 5–0 defeat to Sunderland' LOLz). Four other appearances between then and the end of Jan tells a story, I guess.

I doubt he was expecting this start to his SUFC career: 'He made his debut two days later at home against Aston Villa, in a 5–0 defeat at Bramall Lane'. And then yesterday he went one better and got sent off and the same scoreline (although he wasn't much to do with that ON the pitch), in what was only his third appearance!

This has been an utter car crash of a season for The Blades, right from when they sold Ndiaye and Berge just prior to opening day.

It is really unforgiveable, especially in light of the fact they had a blue print for success from their 2019/20 season when they came up and finished 9th. There, they kept the same squad of players but augmented it with the likes of Dean Henderson and Sander Berge. They also had players like John Lundstrum and John Fleck who had been round the block and chipped in with 10 goals.

Their recruitment has been atrocious and they have stunk the Prem out. I think they are a decent club, but you can easily see them do a Stoke City or Cardiff City and disappear from the Prem without trace.

Given that haircut I think Bart missed a trick by not shouting "You looking at me?" when Davies got in his face. Not that there was much wrong with his "what the f*** do you think your doing"

I assume to get the ball as far as possible away from their penalty area, given that they probably expected to lose the ball very close to their own penalty area given we were camped in their half.
No doubt looking to gain a foul, and therefore get a free kick, so that they could put the ball into our area, and give their defence a breather.

But it failed dismally and the second half had the feel of a walking training session.
