Very much a Rugby area, football is not big down there like it is in the North, only in big cities like Monaco and Marseilles etc

Marseilles it's huge, but it isn't big in Monaco. They were getting 3,000 even when they were winning the league and in the Champions League.

Did you put the car on the train or hire one when down there ? Thinking of going that way late summer and thinking of going by Rail

We put the car on the train two or three times in the early 90's. Worked out brilliantly, load it on, go to your sleeper carriage and kip through the night, wake up and your there! From memory the service terminated in Toulouse so it was a 2-3 hour drive on from there. My old man had a Rolls Royce silver shadow 2 for a few years, we put that on it once, that was fun, driving around the south of France in a bloody Roller. I once got the train from London to Paris to Montpelier to Agde, got lost on the Paris underground and was almost in tears ( I was 19 and on my own lol )
