Heartwarming story as they've been out of the top two divisions for most of the last 30 years.
.
Acording to their badge only been in existance for 30 odd years aswell

They spent 2million €'s this season, doubt they pay big wages anyway so would guess utaka is on roughly 20,000 €'s a week. So, about this 'team built for £2m idea"...
How much is John Utaka now on, given that he was earning £70k per week at Pompey?
Wouldn't mind if we played in the French league, there would be some cracking away trips.
i really don't know why we don't tour normandie,le harve, caen and rouen would all provide a very good workout pre-season
and the fans would love it i'm sure
Quite. Or Picardie/Champagne - Lens, Lille and Reims.
Been a fan of there's for years, I holiday just to the south of there at a place called Agde, really pleased for them!

yes, pleased to see bastia go up,shame ajaccio couldn't manage to stay up,no corsican derby
but caen went down and le harve avioded the drop,so we do have a normandie derby
hopefully rouen can join them next season,my favourite french club
shame there nickname is the "red devils"
or the breton clubs of rennes, lorient and brest
lorient's about as nice as portmouth though, having been there.
AC Ajaccio did stay up - Caen, Dijon and Auxerre went down. So we will have the Corsican derby in Ligue 1 next year. However, driving from Bastia to Ajaccio is a pig of a journey over mountain passes. Must take 2-3 hours.
Went to see Bastia play at the start of the season. The locals seem to reserve most of their hatred for Nice, Marseille and PSG. Ajaccio are seen as the Corsican little brother. Great atmosphere in the stadium - highly recommend a visit!
We holiday there as well a bit further down in vias one of my favourite regions in France
I know Vias, it's actually closer than you think to Agde, less than 4 miles! It's a fantastic part of France, have you driven over the Millau Viaduct since it opened? It's astonishing and cuts hours off the drive down!
Not been over the viaduct yet , last time we went was by train made a change from driving plus with the cost of petrol & tolls the train was a cheaper option .

They've gone bust twice in the last 30 years. When a club in France goes bankrupt it has to start again with a brand new name - they are in every other way the original club (ground, kit etc.)
