A day oil the life of Moises Calciedo:

Tuesday 31st January 2023
08:00 hrs cup of coffee in bed (Brazilian blend)
08:30 hrs 15 minute work out, shower and dress
09:00 hrs cornflakes and Orange Juice
09:30 hrs clean pram
10:00 hrs put toys back into pram
11:00 hrs read Delia's How to make Humble Pie
13:30 hrs look for new agent whilst eating humble pie (home made)
14:00 hrs call to RDZ committing myself to the cause for the rest of the season

it all ends up happily ever after doesn't it?

I lived in Islington for years after Uni. They were all sound. Even a bit rough in the 90s. the old arsenal fans. Then Nick Hornby, Wenger, and the stadium move happened and they were part of the trend of football and liking it being 'cool', fed by social media. Slowly but surely, starting with Poindexters called 'Olly' from Oxfordshire and slowly spreading out to Ali from Dakar, Muhammed from Jakarta, and Brad from Melbourne They slowly grew an international band of absolutely entitled gaping anus customers who've never kicked a football in their collective lives. They largely got into it peak Wenger when Arsenal won everything and thought that would last forever, but have now had to spend the last decade and a half coming to terms with the fact when you live miles away, never go to a match, hitch your identity to a concept that is nothing to do with you, when that concept fails there's nothing left but you, your zits, and a laptop staring back at you in a mirror.

The minor success they've had so far this year has breathed life back into some dormant identities the globe over, but they know that disappointment at this stage will be the final straw for most of them so their heads are pre-falling off in anticipation. And I for one, am drinking in the tears!
Bring back Stavros!!!

Sheepish apology tomorrow on his insta, training pics later all looking happy, South American boys all laughing and Dunk with his arm round him, DeZ press conf on Thursday saying how well he’s trained this week/good guy etc etc and MOTM on Saturday.
Let's hope that is the case.

My thoughts are turning to wonder whether Moises will want to risk going through the same ordeal in a few months time.

This part Brighton/Hove is riddled with them, I know loads. Some share Emirates ST’s, others only go to the annual Amex visit. The commonality … as grown ups they all abandoned their lifelong clubs eg Albion, Ipswich, Leeds. One of my brothers did the same. The turning point was when George Graham won stuff, but a later wave with Wenger. We had a Sunday lunch with a family it would’ve been about 2011, the Dad had got into Arsenal age 40 when his plastic Gooner mates said to him in a London park “Look over there, it’s Adams, Linighan and Bould” (a true story, he loved talking about it). His sport was mocking the Albion, from memory Slade, Poyet and Withdean.

IMHO that’s very different from kids who get into a club from watching them on the box.

I would be very surprised if we don't sell at 100m+

There's definitely a price .....
At this moment I don't think there is. Matter of principle at stake. I think they could offer £150m and he's still not going anywhere this window. Genuinely think this is a line in the sand for TB. Doesn't mean he won't go in the summer, but right now I don't think there is a price.

We’ve seen off Arsenal but Jorginho going only makes me more concerned about Chelsea. Wouldn’t put anything past Boehly. If we get a bid north of £100m I think ‘not for sale’ begins to wobble. If we did stand firm in that scenario, it would be a massive moment - bolder than any signing.

Chelsea are obviously pushing for the instalments payments for Hernandez. We would only accept anything cash up front. They won’t have all that cash but they could throw in Gallagher and colwell plus a load of cash. 60 million or something and that would probably be too good to turn down.

I am pleased with my tenner at 11/2.

Pointless selling for any amount now. He'll still be worth that in the summer. Ideally to Madrid.
