Pointless selling for any amount now. He'll still be worth that in the summer. Ideally to Madrid.
I disagree. Chelsea’s spending bears no relation to the market as a whole so it would be difficult to resist a bid close to the Enzo Fernandez type bracket. Thankfully, it’s theoretical. Just needs to stay that way for another 12 hours or so.

This part Brighton/Hove is riddled with them, I know loads. Some share Emirates ST’s, others only go to the annual Amex visit. The commonality … as grown ups they all abandoned their lifelong clubs eg Albion, Ipswich, Leeds. One of my brothers did the same. The turning point was when George Graham won stuff, but a later wave with Wenger. We had a Sunday lunch with a family it would’ve been about 2011, the Dad had got into Arsenal age 40 when his plastic Gooner mates said to him in a London park “Look over there, it’s Adams, Linighan and Bould” (a true story, he loved talking about it). His sport was mocking the Albion, from memory Slade, Poyet and Withdean.

IMHO that’s very different from kids who get into a club from watching them on the box.
I did think as I posted it that I'm going to end up flushing out a few secret semi-gooners on here! 🤪 Just a bit of fun lads!

No world wide fan base??? As chairperson of the thriving - and highly esteemed - Central Australian Brighton and Hove Albion Fan Club, I have to protest in the strongest terms. Mediocrity??? No, I love popping in to the beautifully designed Amex stadium for a good home game.... like the last two against Liverpool!!! :) :)
That tweet from GJG just sums it all up doesn't it. This is exactly why the ESL is still a thing in their minds. The rich 6 (they're not big!) are shitting themselves at the prospect of teams coming out of the pack and challenging their cosy little cartel.

I'm not arrogant, I understand that this could all dip at any time, but the club have worked hard to put us where we are and entitled wankers like him need to give their heads a wobble!!!!

I understand that IT WILL dip one day. But I'm loving it while we're on the crest of this particular wave.

Did you say this about Dunk when he downed tools for the Fulham move? Do you still hold that against him? He’ll be 100% fine tomorrow and 99% of this board know it! 👍🏻
Hugo old love we are all different, the Dunk incident whilst regrettable was slightly different.

All of our players would leave for Arsenal. Good chance to win the league and much higher wages. He just needs to get his head straight and get back playing this weekend.
But they wouldn't post it on social 48 hours before an important cup tie.

I'm pleased he's staying, and hopefully beyond the summer, but its all been an unwelcome distraction to what is potentially the greatest season in the club's history to date.

How is it different? Didn’t Dunk actually refuse to play in a game while trying to force the move? He’s done nothing different to what Moises did, it just wasn’t all over social media, but Dunk has repaired his relationship with the fans and proved his worth on the pitch since. It’s up to Caicedo to do the same now starting in training tomorrow and then hopefully on the pitch on Saturday.

Jorginho is actually a good signing. Very good player, just one of those under appreciated by a lot of fans, especially those morons from Stamford Bridge.
Agreed. I think for the price, the experience they're getting at this stage of the season will prove invaluable. He's no Caicedo but he is a good signing.

Yes there the two people are different but the situations are very similar. Young lad has a wobble after getting head turned by prospect of more money and the mind blowing flattery of a team rating you so much they want to sign you.

Hopefully the same outcome too.

It has, but we've got through it having made a clear stand against 'player power', with DeZ clearly backed, an enhanced overall reputation (PR for the club over this has been almost universally positive), a win over Liverpool without him and suspect more unity in the squad than ever. Quite likely he'll think he owes the club and his team-mates a bit now.

They won't be focusing on Bournemouth or anything else today as the first team squad have 2 days off after the Liverpool game. They return to training tomorrow.
Perhaps a bit pedantic and misses the point - the football focus, as always for our players and manager, is always on the next match and avoiding distractions such as we’ve seen in the past few weeks with Tross and Moises - regardless of whether RDZ is actually coaching today - not on what the media/twitter/football blogs are saying. Time to put the Caicedo boll@x to bed.👍

Not really missing the point at all. The players have been given time off, their focus on Bournemouth starts tomorrow, this is a couple of days to relax, spend time with their families etc and put football to the back of their minds for a few days. Down time in any role is important and clearly the club recognises that.
