Hopefully something has been brokered that see's him leave in the summer but the elephant in the room is because of that instagram post Friday night we've now got an employee we know doesn't really want to be here.
All of our players would leave for Arsenal. Good chance to win the league and much higher wages. He just needs to get his head straight and get back playing this weekend.

Hopefully nothing has been brokered that will see him leave in the summer, we'd be stupid to do that when his stock is only going to go up and there is the potential for more clubs to get involved then.

The social media post clearly came from his agents influence rather than him. Everything said about his character is glowing, what a nice lad he is etc. put it down to some naivety on the part of a 21 year old kid.

He won't down tools as that won't help him get a move. The best thing for him is to continue playing as he has done for the last year for us, he's got good senior pros around him down here, Lallana, Welbeck, Dunk etc will do what is required to get him focused, be that a bit of a word or a brotherly arm around him.

Supposedly Arsenal are front runners to sign Rice in the summer which means they are unlikely to be back for Moises.

Did you say this about Dunk when he downed tools for the Fulham move? Do you still hold that against him? He’ll be 100% fine tomorrow and 99% of this board know it! 👍🏻
Well, I’m in the 1%ers then.

How do we know that he’ll be 100% fine? That’s pure speculation, exactly the same as me speculating that he might not be 100%…

What, he’s going to rock up high fiving with the boys and having a cuddle and a laugh with Roberto ? Give me a break… sure, he’ll be professional I guess (?), but returning to the fold will not be easy… far from it… I say again comparing this circus to the Stephens/Dunk situations is limp at best.

I predict a long road to redemption and then he’ll be gone in the summer.

In this instance I’m worried we need to be wary of what we’re wishing for.

Naylor’s found much love round these parts.

The start of a new wonderful relationship .

In the past, imho, the club didn’t feed him much at all. Wondering if TB/PB have decided to use his services to pass on our story, rather than the twattosphere being dominated by the lies/baseless hot air of Ben Jacobs, Dharmesh and Kaveh.

Very true but could we not view it as he didn't know he didn't want to be here until his greedy new agents explained his value and the potential wages. Of course he has to sign off on the post but just how strong was the influence on a young naive 21 year old? And if we put aside the potential wages why on earth would he wish to depart from a great team on the up and one eye on Europe?

Even if he's got the hump how's that going to manifest itself. He will realise and his agents will remind him that to secure a big summer move he needs to carry on performing at the same level. Any sort of ' down tools ' would be shooting himself in the foot.

What might be interesting is how fans might react to him staying. It's hardly the returning hero and the real praise would lie with Bloom and the club standing firm. If he had any sense he'd make a statement publicly denouncing his agents and binning them off.

We also think that it’s his agents …and that he was a poorly advised 21 year old…I’m certain he’ll be welcomed back into the fold tomorrow…RDZ will put an arm around him and that your elephant will become an ant….perhaps you’ll have to write another article…wildlife?

He's 21. He'll be fine! He's hardly been sat in prison the last few days, he'll have no doubt been chatting with his team mates the whole time anyway. He'll be a bit gutted he didn't get his move, but he'll be thinking he'll get a big one in the Summer anyway now, it's only a few more months. If he comes back and sulks and isn't the same player than he won't get the move he wants anyway. If he was 29 and this was his last shot at it then I can understand why it would be different, but he isn't.

I predict he'll get largely a good reception on Saturday and things will be back to normal again. On we go.

I can tell you now, the players will not care one bit if he comes back and his attitude on the pitch is fine.

Come back, have the piss taken out of you for a a few days and then move on. Standard.

I listened to the Ben Foster podcast where I'm sure he was discussing Peter Odemwingie and how he had to come back into training the next day after his failed attempt to move to QPR. Everyone laugh about it and get on with kicking a ball about.

Take that 🖕🖕🖕🖕

All those people won't be fans. They're just brand 'customers' from Singapore, Lagos, Millwaukee and Oxfordshire. They'll like Arsenal in the same way they like Nike or Ferrari. A brand that they think gives their loneliness and inadequacy some semblance of identity. But I'd put money on 97% + of them not being able to locate Islington on a map let alone Highbury or The Emirates.

I feel sorry for older Arsenal fans. Must be horrible watching your actual bricks and mortar club turn into a YouTube Channel.

RDZ or the Club is not likely to sanction the sudden loosing of a key player halfway through the season without there being a same position replacement with successful top tier stats already lined up - Roberto’s building a team with a very specific shape - even if the club received a silly money bid (Fernandez-silly) in the next few hours from Chelski, swapping/part-dealing Colwill is not going to plug the MF gap we saw on Saturday. As much as it would be great to have Colwill on the permanent squad, the Club letting Caicedo go midway through RDZs first season will seriously undermine what he is doing at Brighton (what he is achieving) and is not something TB/PB would do.

Barring injuries, Moises will still be worth £85-100m in the summer (even with a bigger market of MFs available), he will still have 2.5 years left on his contract (with the usual 12mnth extension option). Newcastle, Arsenal and Man U especially were already interested in Caicedo when we signed him in January ‘21 - that level of interest will not have waned by the summer nor will it if Moises stayed on with Brighton in 2023/4.

The instagram bollocks (posted more than likely by his agent), means nothing in the bigger scheme of things and should be no barrier to Moises rejoining the squad for our next League match - RDZ knows this was a case of a young lad being ’influenced’ by external factors and has been long enough managing at top tier football to know how it works.

Time to move on and focus on Bournemouth because you can be sure that’s what RDZ and the squad will be doing today. (EDIT - when I posted this this morning, forgot the lads were off until tomorrow BUT if they were training today, their focus would be on the next match not rumours/blogs and silly instagram messages and Tweets)
