Someone told me who is quite ITK, that it was a China only release clause, people can believe me or not, but that’s like my one piece of inside information I’ve ever got, so I like to flaunt it, oh yeah and that Veltman turned down Roma last season (or maybe the season before), but that’s it. Tripled his salary in China so can’t blame him, he’s family still live in Huddersfield.
sure that was reported in the argus at the time as something Australian players commonly ask for

Even though he’s now playing in Glasgow?

I have a photo of my son with Mooy after he took apart Bournemouth in what must have been December 2019. How many games did he actually get out there? Talk about “wrong time to move to China”

The only thing for certain is that nobody on this thread knows what is going on, and those proved right at the end of the day will only be right because they happened to bet the house one way or the other. Arsenal know what they need to offer to sign him. It’s as simple as that.

I really don't think Tony will sanction the sale. You know this transfer window has me with that xmas song in my head taking the piss, with lyrics, 'it's the most wonderful time of the year', well no, it's not!

So having said that nobody here knows what's going on, you're then saying that you know that Brighton have given Arsenal a figure?

Because I got the impression that Brighton have simply said he's not for sale? Now sure, we'd sell if they offered us £1billion, but do Arsenal really know the lowest amount they could get him for?

Didn't someone Arsenal tried to buy years ago have one (Suarez?) for £40m and they offered £40m + £1 or something silly?
That was where Arsenal received duff information. Suarez had a contract clause only that he had to informed if a bid came in greater than £40m. So Kroenke bid £40,000,001.

It was rejected with a “What are they smoking over there at Arsenal?”.

A year later he signed for Barca for a £75m fee.

Could've moved very recently, having a flatmate at university who did a third year internship with the Huddersfield Town Media Team got me an incredible amount of pointless inside information about 2017 - 2020 Huddersfield Town.

Yeah it’s because they are in the Asian Football Confederation and the Chinese league have a international player quota of for example six, or which two out of the six are only available for AFC players, so they can command pretty high wages there as they are one of the better Asian nations, and quite happy to play in China (which some other asian nation players aren’t).

Backed up by Naylor repeatedly passing on the club’s message that MC simply won’t be sold.

Sounds like someone who said he’d join Arsenal this window, is preparing for an egg-on-face defence of “But how do you know that?”.
