I phrased that wrong - but you know what I mean. Once there’s solid interest and bids being made the player leaves one way or another

I really hope you are right. Something just nagging me saying silly money will be offered over the next 10 days and we'll reluctantly accept.
But the silly money will still be there come the summer.

Its bed wetting season, few players go in the Winter window unless unsettled and players are reluctant to move from an improving club especially with the top 4 spot in range. Chill out.

Price doesn’t really bother me as we don’t tend to reinvest in large qualtities. If it pays bloom back and keeps us healthy then great. More concerned about timing and if it gets into Moises head.

apparently they've bid £60M now. obviously reached the point there's they're trying to unsettle him, just like with fernandez. scum club
'apparently' - are you being a dick on purpose or does it come naturally?

Where is your f***ing sauce? Random tweets from a twunt on Twatter with 9½ followers aren't to be believed and shite stirring other BHA fans like this gets on my tits

I honestly think you don't need to worry. It makes no logic or sense to sell him this window. He's 21, he's got his whole career ahead of him, anyone who offers silly money now will offer silly money in the summer.

The only thing that would make me slightly nervous was if we signed a player in his position for 30m+

It's all waffle. Barber has made it known he's not for sale and it would take something exceptional for that to change 60/65/70/75m isn't going to get him. 100m might but even then I doubt it. He will be one of the most sort after midfielders come the summer and I'm sure Barber will sit back and allow the bidding war to start. So far there's only Chelsea and they haven't got close to his reserve price.

From Sept 2022;

The policy reportedly won’t be changing any time soon and that has been reiterated by Paul Barber as he admitted that they won’t “hold employees against their will”. The Brighton chief executive also added that all the club can do is protect themselves which is what they already do with contracts.

“Football clubs are not prisons. We are not in a position to hold employees against their will. We try to do as much as we can to protect ourselves with contracts. Contracts, we hope, will always be respected, but where people have an outstanding opportunity and they feel that it’s better for them, their careers, their families, then we’ve got an open mind,” Barber said, reported the Athletic.

If Chelsea paid £62m for Cucu, they need to give their heads a wobble if they think £60m or anything in that region would be enough to take Caicedo.

They are now just playing to TB’s script of achieving maximum value in the summer, hopefully not from Chelsea. If he has to go, I’d want him out of the EPL to Barca or Madrid.

You miss the real point he makes time and time again, we sell when it's right for the player and the CLUB. We sell when the price is right and never before.

Barca wouldn’t struggle to afford £5M.

The fee we want, he only goes to an EPL club

Price trumps all of it , he says they won’t hold a player or staff prisoner if they want to leave and price is met.

IMO there’s some naivety here, Caicedo didn’t appoint new agents without some plan.

And I’m not saying he’s off this window, but I’m not 100% confident of keeping him this window
