If Chelsea show any interest in any of our players we need to double the price. I’d like to see the club make a stance against that shitty football club.

Personally I don’t think we’ll let anyone go this January, I predict at least one signing though.

I can see Trossard going in the summer for similar money to Bissouma.
If Caicedo goes then I think £85m is likely to be around the figure TB would want.
WE DON’T NEED TO SELL, therefore any club wanting us to change that stance is going to have to make an offer that Is huge, why can’t these lazy hacks understand that?
The club usually has a planned replacement. Who is the one to replace Caicedo?

Everyone’s talking about Brighton this weekend so let’s make up a story that also references Chelsea, Newcastle, Liverpool and Man Utd.

Clicks won’t bait themselves.
Chelsea = shit
Newcastle = Shit
Liverpool = Shite
Manchester United = SHIT.

OK, now? ???

For an eye watering 85 quid, apparently. Hmmm.
With this amount of income, Tony could sell the Amex and finance a purpose-build floating island off the ruins of the West Pier, with parking facilities for jet packers, inflatable cyclists (ya hear me, @Stat Brother ? ???), pedalos, parachutists and ocean going yachts. I'm IN!!!!

Hopefully Caicedo will take a look at the dispirited looking Bissouma, being forced to keep the brakes on and trotting around in front of Spurs' defence with a fraction of his former verve. At Moises' age, regular football has its own value for a player who could develop into one of the very best - or sink into a middling career as a bit part player if he moves to the wrong club too soon.

I’d love to see Caicedo in the (Nike version of) Stripes until at least summer 2024.

Aside from the very 2022 thing of EPL money, let’s enjoy a potentially world class player rule midfield battles for another 60 games for us.
Of course I’d love to keep him, and for him to maintain his form, fitness and match winning performances. I am just reassured that should he go, Tony Bloom and the club will be getting absolute top dollar from one of the richest clubs in the league/world, which offsets some of the pain.

Liverpool fan, and I come in peace!

Just hearing a few rogue Liverpool ITKS saying you guys are signing another Ecuadorian CM, with this I'm just curious if it's an addition or dealing with life after Moises.

Just looking for the opinion on Brightons side, I think it's pretty obvious Liverpool and others are keen, I imagine it'll take a pretty penny to get him and Brighton should be holding out for top.dollar by the sounds of it!

Another Q just what to expect from him should be come to the north?? Is he as good as people.say? Only seen him a limited amount of time!!

Cheers!!

No chance. Todd & Potts have already bid £1 billion dollars. Caicedo has always dreamt of playing for the Kings Road Raiders.👍

Very likely we’re looking at several South American players…..

Moises is the business, IMO easily the best midfielder we’ve had, a top player and destined for CL football - most of us are resigned to losing him at some point.

Price ? You can be sure our Chairman (see White, Cucurella) will absolutely rinse whoever takes him - wouldn’t be surprised to see £80m+ required, very much hope it’s not at least until the summer.

The issue is the fee. If Liverpool, Chelsea, Man Utd, Man City or Arsenal came in for him (or a top European side in the CL) he’d definitely go.

I read a lot of other fan’s forums to try and keep perspective of the league as a whole. Plus I’m working from home and often have long spells of nothing to do.

The impression universally, including on the Liverpool forums, is that the fans set in their heads a unrealistically low fee that they want a player for e.g - “let’s just get Caicedo for £40m”.

They never take into account the other team’s valuation of the player, the business acumen of the other club/their need to sell (we have the best owner in the country and no financial issues) and sometimes the player’s desire to move. Although I don’t think it would be an issue in this case on the latter.

Essentially, I can’t imagine the fee being lower than £60m plus add-ons (possibly including a player), and could be as high at £80-90m if other clubs are in the running.

Fans of other clubs are constantly undervaluing our players because we’re “just Brighton” and we should be honoured to sell our best players to the biggest clubs. Times have changed a lot.

He's only been in the team for a limited amount of time!

However, during that time he has been consistently brilliant. He is the heart of the team, winning the ball when it doesn't seem possible, driving forward at pace, picking passes others don't see and scoring goals too.

Obviously I don't want him to go, but it's the nature of the beast. I just hope he doesn't end up at Chelsea.
