Pochettino would move the needle to a point that players like Caicedo and AlMac (and their reps) might stick around. Not sure we’re at the point where we or him would get together. #teamslikebrighton are an established stepping stone now - probably the best one in PL football and probably coming up on the rails of Dortmund. The huge challenge for our board and us is how we keep going while players and managers only stick around until the first sniff of the toxic six/seven, ESL, CL cash comes along. It’s hard enough being a fan. Imagine being the fan/chairman??

I've been reticent about sticking my head above the parapet and voicing this. But yes, this.

Moises Caicedo is not as good a player (YET) as either Brighton fans, or the twittersphere rumour machine, hold him up to be. He has enormous potential, and lots of good attributes - superb attitude, superb athleticism, uncanny ability to make tackles that look impossible to make - but technically, he's really not (YET) top level at all. Brighton have loads of players with superior technical ability.

All that said - you can't ignore the incredible upturn in our results, that coincides exactly with his introduction to the side...

There does seem to be a cult like shield that surrounds players in the club who show promise. And a commandment is issued to worship on pain of thumbs down.

I think Caicedo is a player with great potential and a lot to learn. But that's why he was brought here. So far so good.

Another example was Biss. I thought he was a decent player who did some pretty good moves. But I didn't think he was the engine others did. I just felt he looked impressive at times but his overall contribution didn't stand out as much as was reported. I don't think we've missed him. And he is struggling to adapt at Spurs it would seem.

I've been watching football too long to get excited by the next best thing.

Isn’t he saying that Potter couldn’t turn down Chelsea, but he’s happy at Brighton?

But I expect more of this over time, Boehly/Potter learning the art of using Romano to unsettle players and help create unstoppable momentum.

f@ck Bohely, the cardboard cut out fucwhitt , f@ck potter and F@CK Chelsea , i hope they win nothing and i hope Liverpool wipe the floor with them this weekend.

It’s inevitable that we will sell him…..in our time and for the right money, that’s what we do .(IMO,that is normally a good time for the players career as well.)

If Brighton were ready to sell, why the f*** would they be telling anyone…!! How do these “journalists” expect anyone to take them seriously

If Chelsea show any interest in any of our players we need to double the price. I’d like to see the club make a stance against that shitty football club.

Personally I don’t think we’ll let anyone go this January, I predict at least one signing though.

I can see Trossard going in the summer for similar money to Bissouma.
If Caicedo goes then I think £85m is likely to be around the figure TB would want.
WE DON’T NEED TO SELL, therefore any club wanting us to change that stance is going to have to make an offer that Is huge, why can’t these lazy hacks understand that?

So the article is potentially round about right - like all players (and staff) they have a value and Caicedos is £85M ?

Let’s not forget the club have a policy of letting staff go if they want to and we get the right amount, so everyone is available for a price, at the right time

Everyone’s talking about Brighton this weekend so let’s make up a story that also references Chelsea, Newcastle, Liverpool and Man Utd.

Clicks won’t bait themselves.

He wasn't brilliant in the first part of this season, but in the last three or four games, he's been back to his best. RDZ even mentioned it in the pre-match interview, and he was something else yesterday too.
