People get annoyed at Romano because it’s regurgitated big club orientated nonsense, his ‘sources’ have been proven time and time again to be wrong.
Which ones did he get wrong? Genuinely.

The ones people seem to cite are where he has said players have agreed terms with clubs but then the transfers didn't happen.

That's not getting it wrong. That's the players agreeing terms but the clubs not, Cucu to Man City, Messi agreeing a deal with Barca but La Liga blocking the move etc.

Genuine question.

Also I don't agreed that it's just 'big club' stuff. His last 4 tweets:

And it also coincides with stories about Chelsea going back in for Fernandez despite everything that went on with him and Benfica earlier this month so maybe Chelsea have got the picture about Caicedo now.
UEFA FIFA have thrown a spanner in Todd’s master plan with their 5-year term for FFP edict, irrespective of contract length. Fernandez at 120m over 10 years incoming. Here we go.

He made almost 100 appearances for Chelsea and now plays for Barcelona
You’ve got the wrong end of the stick. I’m well aware Andreas Christensen made it. The guy from Copenhagen can’t have been talking about him as our conversation was about a decade before Christensen signed. It was a different kid.

This, plus his profile has gone up considerably in the last year. An agent can also help him get bigger and better commercial deals, it isn't just about securing a move/massive pay day on the playing contract side.

I've no doubt he'll move on sooner rather than later, if we have him for next season then we will be doing something very special indeed, but a change of agent doesn't mean he's pushing for a move.
All seems a fair point. After all, in the miraculous event we could keep him beyond the summer, his rise to prominence means his contract must need renegotiating. Let’s dream about that happening and getting another year out of him in the Europa League, rather than Boehly getting petulant and chucking £100m our way in desperation on deadline day.

Maybe they will push through a bunch of big deals now to benefit from amortization over 7+ years.
Yes. Ought to be immediate imposition. They’ve already got away with it with 3 or 4. Chelsea must be massively pissing off all the other rich clubs with the way they’ve raised the stakes.

Eurgh, I'll be honest, the Romano hate is just an extension of the usual Twitter nonsense made up of people's obsession with "agendas". MotD have an anti-Brighton bias, Romano has a "big club" bias etc etc. WHo cares?

This suggests he's going nowhere.
Shock - he is seemingly going nowhere in this window. Don’t know why this thread is getting multiple pages of journo bullshit posted and everyone panicking every day! Chill.

It’s great - but still pretty sad state of affairs that we’ve probably convinced him to stay ‘to be reviewed in the summer’ or something

Why do people assume a change of agent means he wants out? Given Moises is a very young man who has shot to a (IMO) a world class player in short time, he probably had no proper agent/a very small one.

There’s hundreds of reasons a player could change agent, maybe he wants a new deal, maybe he’s fallen out with the old one, recommended one by a teammate etc
This. The way his arrangements were set up previously works in Latin America but create huge difficulties in Europe, so it made 00# sense for him to rationalise this. Wouldn’t be remotely surprised if the club actually helped him with this - at least with advice.

People that claim to be ITK for clicks and attention online are annoying, he’s an idiot.

Bet you he eats gold leaf caviar and only shops in Waitrose, tosser.
It's pretty clear that he is well connected, but with agents rather than the clubs. The agents feed him details on transfers which he releases - this doesn't guarantee that the transfer is going through, just that it is being discussed between the agent and the club(s) involved.

Sometimes this will be when deals are agreed (or very close), so Romano can get the 'exclusive'.

There are also occasions where the deal hasn't yet been agreed, where agents are asking him to help influence the transfer by getting it into the public domain - see Cucu to Man City.

He won't always be correct therefore, as sometimes these transfers don't go through. The alternative is the Andy Naylor side who gets information from the club - nearly always correct (unless the club doesn't want him to know), but almost never before anyone else.

So basically a well-paid sh*t-stirrer for greedy agents and unscrupulous clubs

Nice to see that they are all having a wholesome game of paper, rock, scissors instead of doing the sort of thing Duffy would have done such as a few hours with some jack-the-rippers followed by a casino all nighter!
Speaking of which, whatever happened to Shane Duffy. Is he playing anymore?

Barely playing for Fulham, 4 sub apperances in the PL for them this season, for a total of about 2 mins according to Transfermarkt. 1 League cup game where he started. Hasn't even made the bench since the new years eve game against Southampton.

Shame to see a player who was a massive part of why we got promoted and then stayed up not getting game time. Out of contract at the end of the season so we won't see him in a Brighton shirt again. Wonder if the club might try and recall him though and get him a loan move where he might play more, dropping down to the Championship or something.

I bet whoever saw the advantage in rock must’ve had a field day. I’m a bit surprised Caicedo went with paper?
