Wasn't it reported that we bid £40m for Levi?Eventually, maybe.....probably. But not yet. Going to £30M is fine for now.

Yes, but only in context of a deal invlving Caicedo, I think. Besides, we'd actually had Colwill here for a season, so were in a position to know it wasn't a risk - in this case,, Chelsea are unfortunately right; an exceptional young talent they don't want to sell at any price.Wasn't it reported that we bid £40m for Levi?
Any deal we were discussing was separate from Caicedo. He has his value and TB are sticking to that.Yes, but only in context of a deal invlving Caicedo, I think. Theoretically maybe - but come off it!Any deal we were discussing was separate from Caicedo. He has his value and TB are sticking to that.
If that happens then I’m convinced Potter will quickly be appointed as his replacementRumours that Moyes is on the brink of walking……
Why? He’s proved he can’t deal with pressure. If that happens then I’m convinced Potter will quickly be appointed as his replacement
He wasn't great however it was more the chelsea management and fans who had problems with pressure. Why? He’s proved he can’t deal with pressure.
I remember when we broke our highest ever transfer fee record buying Hoskins for £500,000 then Buckley doubled it a few days later. Then even more for CMS a few days after that.....and at £40M he's a 'no' anyway. We've already bought a player fr 50% more than our previous transfer record this summer. We are improving and getting 'bigger; in incremental steps, and it's working. Suddenly going in for much more expensive transfers could do more harm than good.
I personally wouldn't assume Chelsea being interested is any indicator of a player's future success. Given the absolute mountains of money they've wasted over the years. Arsenal too, albeit in very recent years they seem to be doing a bit better.I think if he's good enough for Chelsea and Arsenal he's probably good enough for us. Yes more of a financial risk for a club our size but in terms of quality it's not like he's also being linked with a Latvian club and Crawley.
He literally plays in most positions.Taking a step back, and appreciating it’s a squad game etc.., in a best 11 where does Kudus fit in?
Who is he an improvement on?
And you think the pressure at West Ham is as much as Chelsea ? West Ham are not considered an elite club (although it pains me to suggest Chelsea are), the pressure there is probably not much different to the Albion and he won’t have 30+ egos to manage. Potter would be a perfect fit for West HamWhy? He’s proved he can’t deal with pressure.
He couldn’t handle 50 Albion fans having a moan. Hammers fans do nothing but moan. And you think the pressure at West Ham is as much as Chelsea ? Was it his tactics, or was it the players signed for him? A mixture of both maybe but personally I would lean more heavily toward celebrating the recruitment team than the former manager.West Ham fans above all others, are aware of how good a manager Potter is. His tactics left them scratching their heads many times.
