...but when we get a decent result you're all sucking each other off saying Adams is the king again.

All of us? :thud:

Why is it fickle to criticise the management when mistakes are being made and we have won less than a handful of games and then congratulate the management when they are performing well?

course it f***ing is - because a couple of good performances and everythin will be rosey again, next defeat all miserable - win 3 in a row and people will be creaming their pants and rejoicing Adams being back (like in pre season).... then loose 2 after that and call for the manager to be sacked.

...its BOLLOX.

So in short. We shouldn't be moaning about being in the relegation zone, but when we do start winning we shouldn't be applauding them because that would be fickle?

Now THAT is bollocks.

not at all, i'm saying do we really need to start tripping as soon as we lose a couple of game - or is it too much to ask to be a bit consistant.

obviously if your winning or loosing your attitude will differ, but to the extremes on here is f***ing laughable! (which is usually exactly what i do - but i was bored at work yesterday so thought i'd voice it!)

....Cunts!!

All i see is Adams is shit, forster couldn't finish his dinner, hawkins is crap, virgo plays no matter what, blah blah f***ing blah.

have some of you utter twats really got nothing better to do than f***ing moan your arses off all the time?

fair enough we're doing shit this season with results but every f***ing day to be slating the manager really aint doing much good....

...but when we get a decent result you're all sucking each other off saying Adams is the king again.

why dont some of you take a f***ing chill pill, sit back and watch the team play and see how the results go - if we're still in the bottom 4 with a handful of games left then getting angry is fair enough. But to keep f***ing moaning every day about the manager and players (like you could f***ing do better) is boring, and just shows what a fickle bunch of jam roles some football fans are!

My thoughts exactly (but without the first word)

I think what you're missing is that it is different people who say these things.

Could not agree with you more. I am sick and tired of seeing these threads. Yes, we are going through a rough patch, but I am sure we will pull this around starting Boxing Day.

You've been saying exactly that before every game for the last six weeks.

.

Well, we've won 4 in 20 so far, so I'll not hold my breath for 3 in a row!

Adams has only had less than half a season, hardly enough time to judge...

I think it's more than enough time to judge that we've got a distinctly average manager and a fairly poor set of players. Results don't lie and nor does our position in the table, which is woeful.

you think half a season is enough?

... maybe thats where some of the problems lie - he has inherited a squad of which he obviously wouldn't use being as we have so many loan players.

i dont think loanees help solve the problem but without the cash there ain't many options. He has done it for us before, so personally i shall remain positive.

I think some people feel aggrieved (understandably) because after finishing 7th last year, a lot of us felt Mickey would build on a strong team and push us to above 7th. Instead he has dismantled that team and made bizarre decision after bizarre decision.

So what if it is turned around now? It's too late, even if we play quality we won't end up higher than about 12th which is fairly poor.

It's not a case of having lost a couple of games - we're HALFWAY through the season and we are in the RELEGATION ZONE. I'd see that as being slightly more than a blip.

I, like others really want Adams to succeed and for him to do well, but taking the emotional side out of it with Adams, football is football and if the results and the performances are not good enough then the manager must go.

It's hypocritical of Knight to come out and support Adams the way he has done, when he got rid of McGoo, Wilkins, Steve Gritt & Jeff Wood for a similar set of results.

As I say, I hope Adams turns it around, but if we've not picked up any more points by the turn of the year, then he has to go.

In a nutshell. I agree completely. Probably, like you, Supaseagull, I've avoided the Adams in/out threads before but things really are THAT bad.

We don't exactly help the team out though. The only time you hear any noise at the Withdean is moaning and abuse dished out to our own players. Brighton fans are rubbish. Support is not something we do at all. Our attendances are a disgrace and the vitriolic attacks on our own side make it a pretty horrible place to spend a couple of hours. If we were filling Withdean, getting behind the side and showing some real support and encouragement, then maybe the players would be inspired to play for the shirt. As it is, who on earth would be driven to play for our fans? This is the time when we are needed the most.
