So does his lack of a World Record devalue his Olympic victories then?
I didnt say that ......
So does his lack of a World Record devalue his Olympic victories then?
Perhaps offers a discussion point on where his place in athletic history should be ??
perhaps it says something about him not having the sort of ego where he needs to chase after records. In both the 5,000 and 10,000 races in Rio he never seemed to be seriously threatened. If someone came close in the final stages, he left them for dead with little problem
You are allowed to be subjective even if someone is black you know !!
To think he didnt want to win by a greater margin is bizarre or smash the world record is silly, this wasnt a heat where conserving energy is necessary, even with the circumstance of the race if he could have run world record times then I am sure he would of.
The point remains his achievements have been brilliant at this and previous Olympics, but perhaps there is a reasonable discussion (not with me) some time about whether he is the best runner at those distances, if he doesnt hold records then he might not be in pole position when that takes place.
I wasn't intentionally making any comments which relied on or were affected by the colour of Mr Farah's skin.
Im not wrong at all , and you know it , your argument reminds me of the emperors new clothes , in my first post i said i had no problem with him or other people identifying him as british, but the very fact that people on here , whether joking or not still refer to the royal family as german proves my point, all you and others are doing is fooling yourself so you can feel all warm and fuzzy about how inclusive and tolerant you are, he was born and spent a large part of his childhood abroad, his mother and all his grandparents are somali, your argument that he is 'as british as the rest of us is 'preposterous'A bulldog with a unpleasantly tasting bone. Give it up, you're wrong, just admit it and move on.

Youre wrong on that as well, you havent got a clue about my personal circumstances, and im so happy that someone from OFSTED has told me what British values are ,im just glad that a lot of what theyve put isnt a load of made up on the hoof lefty bollox .You are. I can't be f<cked to argue with a bigot any more as it's a lovely day out there. Mo has more British values than you, so maybe time to read the http://www.doingsmsc.org.uk/british-values/ site. He's the leading British athlete for all children to aspire to, whereas you're a sad lonely man with bygone thoughts. Have a word with yourself. I'm out of the conversation.
Blimey, so Terry Butcher's Chinese then. You represent your country of origin not your adopted country.

Well obviously teetotallers or vegetarians can't be British. Stands to reason. I mean how can they drink our ale and eat the roast beef eh? eh? Send 'em all back to Vegeterania and, er, Teetotolia that's what I say.Or any teetotaller, or vegetarian......

leave off US , half the time world records are broken under very artificial conditions , with special pacemakers etc ,consistently winning races is what matters.
