Firstly, your fans. Thought you were quality today and it was great to see you come in such good numbers. Understandably your vocal support trailed off a bit second half but well played there. Your team looked like ours has recently, the talent is there but nobody seemed to give a toss, almost like they were playing down the park with a group of friends.

Nice to see you liked our stadium although I personally prefered the crappier National Hockey Stadium because it felt closer and much more like an atmospheric ground and something you saw football in wheras the new one just lacks in any character, too comfortable by half (I know, I sound a fool)

The stuff we did today for the family things had my head in hands cringing so much. Guitar Hero at half time? What the hell is that all about.

Our fans in other teams shirts is a pet hate of mine but they pay their money, I can't stop them from doing it. Saw a couple of knobs get kicked out near your end. Apologies for any knobish behaviour, recently a load of people nobody has seen before have turned up and been goading away fans, legging it onto the pitch ect ect and I hope these people are sorted out soon.

Despite our dominance in the game (sorry if it sounds a bit arrogant) You are nowhere near the worst team we have played this season. If you had a pair of strikers that could hit the target you'd be in a much better position than you are now. Like Crewe and Leicester you would of earnt a draw against our seemingly wavery defence. Don't think you are down until you are down, I reckon you'll save yourself this season and will be able to sort yourselves out in the close season and be much more competetive next season.

G'luck!

We were outclassed today- end of story. Us having 27% of possession over 90 minutes says it all.

The ground will be quality when it's finished, and you lot have obviously had to wait a while for it, (not as long as us), but it looks Premiership standard. I hope the never-ending Falmer saga comes up with an equally good outcome. Hopefully ours won't be as wasted as your ground is on most of your fans (the Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Man United, Tottenham ones)

Making the game into a sideshow today was embarrassing for all real football fans i think, but you need to try and get them in when they're young so fairplay to you.

I stand against everything MK have done to get where they are , but putting that aside, on the showing today, andconsidering you're not even on form, you should win the play-offs with ease. Good luck with it.

Personally I wish you all wore other team's shirts to games - presumably you all supported someone else before you stole another team's place in the football league? At least they are being honest about who they are.

Supported another team beforehand? Yes but I don't think I'd be able to get one of their shirts now.

Turning the game into a ridiculous PR event ruined my enjoyment of an otherwise good game for us. I just think how good it'll be when all these kids grow up a bit more and we have a larger group of fans loyal to the team.

Presumably you mean Wimbledon. If so, fair play, but I must ask why on earth you have chosen to transfer your support to MK? Where are you based?

Btw, I don't want to take anything away from the friendly reception and chat today from all the "MK Dons" fans in the pub before the game, and a genuinely good day out, result aside!

Who did you support before MK?

Funnily enough that last point is what I think is probably the worst thing about the whole Wimbledon/MK Dons affair. Young fans growing up with this club and accepting it is not a good thing.

Correct, mainly greed on my part as I am based nearish to MK anyway. I just didn't agree with the whole AFC claiming WFC's history. Sure the fans are very similar but they just aren't the same team.

Generally we aren't a bad lot, we are just like other football fans but without the morals.

As to the kids coming up and accepting it, it'll mean a more financially secure future which was one of the reasons for sanctioning the move, eventually we'll have a core of fans who are loyal to the team and lead to a much more ardent support rather than the sea of prem armchair fans who couldn't really give a toss about the team.

I am not necessarily saying that AFC should inherit Wimbledon's past (although I probably do believe this, as the fans make the club), but surely MK Dons is a world away.

We have a new town near us, Crawley, who have worked their way up and, I daresay, may be in the football league in the near future. I cannot accept that MK should be allowed to take another person's position in the league.

I am genuinely interested in this, as most "MK" fans i spoke to today were quite honest in that they were previously armchair fans, know that the way their club was formed was immoral, but try to ignore it in order to enjoy live football.

Basically, Winkelman had a real vision when he made the move in the fact that people here were so starved of football that they would go whatever the moral dilemma. Now however most people going seem to have no trouble at all as the club settles in the society.

I know nobody likes us and completely understand why, however, I don't ever really see why I have to justify supporting the team I do every week. I am proud to be a supporter of the club despite the history and really hope that more fans pick it up and become passionate about the club. I regret how the team came to rest in MK yet it happened and nothing that anyone does is going to affect that. AFCW are arguably better off now than if they'd somehow managed to keep WFC afloat, WFC would be similar to Luton with the several administrations and struggling to keep afloat. I wish AFC well in what they are doing and hope to see a financially secure team supporting Merton and Wimbledon in the league.

Anyway, it's been nice having this chat but I'm off now as I have an earlyish start and I'm quite knackered. Cheers

I appreciate you're off, but I think at least from a personal point of view, I see what happened to Wimbledon as being something that could so easily have happened to us. You are from MK and trying to put a positive shine on it, but the point is Wimbledon were a league club by right, and MK is a long way away from their home.

As I said earlier, a lot of your fans seem like nice people, but I don't see a justification for the existance of your club, and I think given our own previous troubles, you will get very little friendly responses here!

I never really expect friendly responses anywhere and I completely understand away fans being a bit pissed off with us. The only real justification for the move is the few hundred WFC fans that still come and saving the jobs of the players. Perhaps also getting the rules changed so it cannot happen again.

All the best for the future!

Fair play to Part of the Crowd for giving such a balanced opinion on things, I don't see why he should be given anything but a friendly reception, no matter what your view on the formation of MKdons is.

I hear what you're saying about the fan base, building a ground that size is not for the next 5 or 10 years, it is for 30 years down the line when you have a generation of fans that has grown up with the club and have never supported another team.

This is similar to what we need to do with Falmer, there are already people saying it will be a white elephant but you need a decent infastructure in place when you get a successfull team, our previous stint in the championship proved that to be the case. Even if it takes us another 5 or 6 years to get to that level it will have been worth the effort.

So it was more a case of sod the fans from Merton, I'm ok?

No it was more a case of I have limited funds available for transport and also the history claiming by AFC, not sod the fans from AFC, as I've said I hope they do well and get to the league with their club.

To be fair, we met some quality MK fans in the pub pre and post match. All very reasonable people, who quite understand why people resent the background story surrounding their team, and were generally agreeable when we said it wouldn't be quite so sickening if they just dropped the "Dons" bit.

According to them, the childcatcher Winkelman has just that up his sleeve in the future, and has already registered Milton Keynes City as a trading name etc. At least then they'd be honest about things, which is what always grated with me before: the pretence that they were anything whatsoever to do with Wimbledon. They reckon it will happen in the next couple of years.

How does that work?

There's a club on there doorstep but kids shouldn't support them? Hmmm

Good to hear from an MK fan who actually knows what he is talking about. Unlike when i was walking back to Bletchley station after the game, an MK fan says to his friend when seeing me in my albion shirt "Oh look, Brighton lot, maybe they'll start singing now" As if we had'nt been singing during the game-like they hadn't
