If that’s true why would you want to pay tax instead of players?
Albion will probably pay very little tax. There is a four-year window (one year prior and three year post) during which profits from player sales can be offset against new player purchases.

In addition to that, the club have:

£102m of CT losses to offset against total profits including player gains; plus
£165m of CT losses to offset against future trade profits.

Have you listened to that podcast? The guy (who apparently advises Brentford) says that after a rule change in recent years, football clubs making more than 5 million pounds profit (I think that was the figure) will have to pay some level of tax, even if they have huge brought-forward losses.

Do you know anything about that?

As I don't want to play games around this all night: no.

I have a whole range of google news email alerts set up and one of them came through with a link to an article on the club website about our annual accounts. I popped on here, no-one else had posted it so I quickly did the honours.

Then some stuff happened.
Na na na na na na, Bozza’s in the shit, in the shit, Bozza’s in the shit…..

Hi. No I hadn’t listened to it, but have now. Thank you.

I see, for this industry alone, the CT losses rules have completely changed.

...Darren it's Paul again on the phone...
...Take a message I'm still in the toilet from last time..
...Something about the missing thread - have you and your imaginary friends been silly, again?
...No, not this time they started it.
..Paul also says there had better not be a missing missing thread, thread.

...Yes dear
...Me or Paul?

...Does it even matter anymore.

Yes, but I think it sounds better thus, exploiting the elasticity of the English language.😊
Give me a hour to ponder this and I'll give it a consideration....indefinitely ???
