To abduct someone at that speed would mean a vehicle being involved, which would mean tyre tracks (those fields are muddy). Nobody has said anything about a vehicle, which would have been on a lookout list almost immediately.

Apart from the reports of sightings of a shabby red van.

The most curious thing..
You all have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. It is all complete speculation with no evidence whatsoever.

Why has nobody mentioned the "abducted by aliens" theory?

It is also not funny. There are two young children who have lost their mother.

From the BBC:

'Nicola Bulley: It's like torture, says friend of missing mum'

'Police believe she fell into the river but underwater searches have failed to find her so far.......

'Police have dismissed suggestions Ms Bulley was a victim of crime'.

That haven’t been mentioned in any of the news bulletins and would have been if the police thought it was actually relevant

Seems to me to be quite odd the amount of conspiracy type theories about this case yet just nothing seems to have been posted about the shooting at school in Epsom! For some reason an accountant is allowed to own a gun on school grounds which he uses to kill his 7 year old daughter and his wife.
As you say, conspiracy theories. The few facts we know and the seemingly 'locked room' mystery of this has meant that everybody can have an opinion no matter how half-baked - as this thread has demonstrated. The Epsom case is 'just' a bog-standard murder with no mystery. Even the biggest internet nutjobs are, afaik, not claiming it's the Russians, government agents, aliens, etc.

Fast flowing brook. 45 years ago....Hmmmm. Not exactly commonplace there then. And the river there was not fast flowing when the recent case took place.

I doubt very much that the Beachy Head leapers are spontaneous Sunday afternoon walkers, either. They plan. The leapers go there to leap; even if they end up not leaping. It is a schlep to get there too. You don't just finish a work meeting, leave your dog, and dive.

This was a woman walking locally with her dog and doing a bit of work chat.

No. She's been abducted.
That's been my guess too...

You’re right but it is human nature to wonder at such a puzzling case.

I don’t think anyone on this board means any harm, it’s just a curiosity.

If she wasn't white. attractive and middle class, maybe this wouldn't have got the publicity and attention it has ......
If she was black and attractive, I'm sure she would have got the same level of publicity given the circumstances. Long gone are the days this country when being white and middle class offers you any sort of advantage; and even if it did I see no reason to apologise for it.

Why not start a thread?
If you build it, they will come.

Possibly.
If it's of interest.

What about working class and very attractive? Would I get the same level of publicity?
