Just received this thing of beauty from Mrs.Punal - a real “Ooh! Er, Missus!” job.

It goes : “Simon* was on Vera on Sunday night. 7 minutes 30 seconds in. Will be hard to spot.”

So much going on here that the mind boggles.

* To save embarrassment to the person concerned, Ron, I have changed the name.

Once asked a kind and very close friend if she would assist with witnessing my signature on my will.

The phone changed 'will' to 'willy'.....

My son used to be a big american football fan. He was a bit puzzled when I predictively texted to ask if he was staying up late to watch the superb owl
He would’ve understood that no problem. It’s a common way of referring to the SuperBowl.

Way back when (Nokia 3210 days) one Sunday after we had played Sunday morning football and we were having a post game pint in the pub we played for. Our keeper text his wife to ask if she was out with her sister.

The wifes sister was a big girl called Heather. Predictive text changed Heather to Heavier. Shortly after he sent said text he got an irate phone call from his wife thinking he was taking the piss. Still makes me chuckle today as he has no idea what he had done and it was only when he read said text back and had an "oh f***" moment.

A few years ago I used a couple of emojis to invite a friend around for lamb moussaka.

Do you fancy *emojis* tonight?

I didn't know.

I've started to find this problem leak into the work environment. We use Microsoft Teams a lot, and it automatically changes (London) to a rain cloud emoji.

Which is, of course, one of the many fine beers produced by the excellent AZ Wilderness Brewing Co in my neck of the woods:-

Due to predictive text, I did once send Mrs P a text asking “Shall I pick up a bottle of wind on the way home?”

She declined 😂

One I heard years ago and never found out it it was true or made up.

Bunch of lads went over to Amsterdam for a stag weekend and one texted his girlfriend late one evening with:
"Wish you were here"
but missed off the last character !!!

Hard to dig your way out of that one mate.

I signed off an email to a client once with "Best Retards"

I got one from the HR lady. Love you.

I replied thanking her for the personal message.
