Oh, don’t get me wrong, he’s stepped it up another notch. But I always thought he worked really bloody hard for the side.
Likewise, but he seems to be doing it with more intensity and also more positional awareness (though I would say the penalty he gave away felt like it would happen at some point - not a massive fan of him lunging in to tackles in and around the box!).

Just watched the highlights again on MOTD. I can’t get my head around why he slides for that ball. He wasn’t stretching for it he could have just stayed standing and scored quite easily but it went through his legs because he slid. He had a good game but that was a really poor moment, should have won us the game (along with Baleba)

According to the commentators there was an offside in the build up, so doesn’t really matter

I think he may have been a little bit unsighted by the defender in front of him and the ball did bobble very slightly in front of Baleba. Both have enough in the bank recently to forgive them imo. No different from Joao Pedro v Liverpool last year at 2.2 with a similar chance

He almost lunged at it like a two-footed tackle :lolol: Clearly hadn’t got his feet set, but part of me wonders if he got caught in a moment of indecision because he wanted to take it with his favoured left despite it being a chance more suited to using his right.

On the Baleba chance, anyone else blown away by how quick he was over such a distance so late in the game? Blokes a machine!!

His defending is definately work in progress. Doku was a real handful. Would love to have seen how Veltman coped with him. Less pace but more savvy.
Doku is probably one of the best, if not the best at one on ones in the league so not going to judge him too much on that.

Think he's actual biggest weakness is picking the right pass/incomplete passes.
