So he’s a right back now?
TBF since the Nottingham match, his heatmaps are evidence that he is now playing far more defensively.

This tactical tweak has made a big difference and is a massive credit to both Minteh and the manager.

Have to admit there was a point early in the season where I thought we’d bought a competition winner. He could barely control a football and just ran in straight lines into trouble. Since about Xmas though he’s seriously come on and is a must start player. Defenders must hate playing against him and even better means they can’t double up on Mitoma as easily as have to worry about both sides.

Same, thought Adringa was a far better player at the start of the season.

And can we all please just accept that the other side of the coin to 'incredible work rate, immense but raw talent and total enthusiasm' is the occasional 'bad decision, wild overhead clearance and silly challenge in the box'. If/when he eliminates those from his game, he won't be with us for long!

I write this as a total fan of what he is NOW.
Yep exactly this.

PSR has really done us and him a big favour.
He's the archetypal, Brighton elite prospect.

playing regularly in the Premier League, learning from the likes of Welbeck, March, Mitoma and being given the freedom to fail every once in a while.

Yup. Biggest change is that he makes things simpler now. At first he wanted to dribble someone every time he had the ball, now he just goes for the end product as direct as possible. Its good to see, was worried he'd be stuck in the "tries too hard"-stage longer than he was.

High impact going forward but his ability and determination to rapidly drop in at wingback has been crucial in the last 5 games. Gives us great balance, especially when we don’t win the ball back during an initial high press.
