£8m? Wow lot of money on what I saw of the lad. He has potential for sure, but he is raw as hell. TBF if he trains on he could be a £20m player this time next year but that's a big chunk of their PL money on a bloke who will not improve their chances of staying up a great deal even if he is a success...

Just because they have money to spend doesn't mean they should waste it. Mings is a great athlete and (right now) a fairly limited footballer.

They've now signed two full backs (also Garbutt on loan), which was one of their strongest positions last year, and nobody in central midfield where they were average.
