Table is settling down now.
Teams that we have lost to above us, teams we drew with around us.
...the last 10 minutes... the 80 minute mark... this is becoming an issue.
Is it a concentration thing that can be trained out of the players?
Is it a fitness thing?
Is it a madness thing?
It's not all bad, it's not all doom, an away draw is NEVER a poor result. But we do need to start winning soon.
We made more than 25 continual passes (with two hiccups) before we scored. According to the radio report (I was counting).
I think the tippy-tappy style is just too difficult for our players to get the hang of for a full 90 minutes. I hope we persist with this as it worries the opposition and forces them to adapt their game (although West Ham might not). And playing 4-3-3 leaves us a man short in the middle.
We seem to be blocking opposing attacks through the middle and restricting our opponents to crosses and long shots. There is always a chance that a 30 yarder will go in. Rather a desperate attempt by opponents that have run out of other ideas.
But a lot of our goals have come from running at the opposing defence. This is not tippy-tappy style. Altogether it is better than just lumping the ball into the channels.
I was disappointed though. It appears that Millwall were beatable with their rather rigid man-to-man marking.
