Millwall keeper charged with rape

I know someone who was at the millwall vs liverpool game and they said almost all the Liverpool fans were there to cause trouble and had been attempting to all day throughout south east London.

He also said it was only a very small minority of Millwall fans chanting those songs.

No excuse but I find it slightly rich that Liverpool fans cause trouble all day and smash the away end up but get protrayed as the victims.

In fact, as the post says, he's an Arsenal keeper but let's pretend he's on Millwall's books as we know that they're south London scum.

And if, you know, yer history......so are Arsenal :lolol:

Why would a prem keeper need to rape a woman?
My guess is she wants publicity a la Rebecca Loos.
If I am wrong then I will apologise but there has been so many of these cases that prove untrue that I don't believe any of them now.

Gee.

What does him being a prem keeper have to do with it. People rape others from all walks of life.

Yes, I do.
Hopefully you can understand my view that there are so many false claims.
I trust the British justice system. He will presumably go on trial, and the jury can decide whether he is guilty or not. Untill that date he should not be allowed to be named and shamed as even if he is cleared people will say "there's no smoke without fire" etc.
A bit like the Beckham stories. One slapper makes money out of the sex scandals and several others join on the bandwagon. Which of course the papers love.
Because more people buy the papers when they see sex scandals on the front.
I am off to watch England.
Good night people.

, Stack is going to cop it big time at away matches isn't he? I think they're playing West Ham at the weekend, and the Ammers are hardly likely to be sympathetic.

Do West Ham Fans sing then?

But what would be the point of a trial if everyone had your point of view? You are right he should not be condemned without a guilty verdict but I find your attitude even more unpleasant, and very degrading to women.

Money and recognition. Two things women love.

I completely agree with your post further down, that he should never have been 'named and shamed' and that until found guilty by a court of law it is only right that he is presumeed innocent.

I just don't see what him being a prem keeper has to do with this, so what? He could be the bin man from next door, the guy who works in the office or an unemployed homeless person who lives on a park bench. If he raped someone, he raped someone.

Not all women love money and recognition you know. But hey, nothing like tarring all women with the same brush. For all you know the lady in question could be telling the truth.

And she just might not be.

That wasn't actually my point, moreso Davids attitude towards women.

Anonymity for both involved or none at all is what's needed. Rape is a serious allegation (and offence) so think how you and your family would react if a woman accused you of rape. The story makes the papers-complete with your mugshot-while she is described as a 21 year old woman.

18 months later, after you've been treated like a, erm, rapist for that period of time, the charges are dropped and she remains anon. You then still have the task of re-building your life. If you did it then you deserve all that you get and some! If you didn't-you need some protection too.

I agree totally.

If a woman is shown to be lying about rape then SHE should be named, shamed and chucked in jail for a year or so.

Surely there would be a case for suing a woman for damages if she falsely accuses you of rape. However, think how terrible that would be for the woman who is raped but whose attacker is found not guilty on a technicality or because of an inept prosecution.
