Lol.

Colin Kazim Richards of all people describing something as 'a disgrace'.

He needs to look at his own behaviour at the Amex first.

100% Colin Kazim Richards should shut the f*ck up, the man is a homophobic piece of Sh*t and is no better than the w*nkers in the Millwall end

Maybe he went through some personal development between the age of 19 and his current age, 34, and learned a bit from living in six or so different countries and becoming a husband and father. Some people are not perfect or even quite flawed at age 19 but turn out alright in the end. If my 34 year old friends calls something a blessing or a disgrace, I'm not going to say "feck off, when you were a teen you...".

Come on man.
He was a lot older than 19 when he gave the crowd homophobic gestures when playing for Blackburn at the Amex.

If you are of the belief PL players should be allowed to protest then it surely follows you must also believe those that do not agree with that protest must be allowed to protest also.
If you believe one side of a protest should have absolute autonomy and there can be no criticism of that view under any circumstances, even if it makes you uncomfortable, then you are spectacularly missing the point of the whole concept of being free to protest.

My bad, I've read a bit about his history but actually thought he had been gone since his Brighton days. Then the anger is more understandable. Curious, what did he do and why?

I would like to think i had the right to do it even if others thought doing it would be the wrong thing to do.

Because he is a idiot, one of the most idiotic people to ever play for us. He’s not friend of an anti discrimination movement because he’s a homophobe and not just that, a convicted homophobe. Millwall and West Ham fans booing the knee sicken me to my core, but Colin Kazim Richards giving lessons on morality give me a break.

Unfortunately, I think annoying the 'gammon' ( anyone who disagrees with my pov is a racist) is far more important to people that regularly use this term than any real interest in preventing racism.

Man wants protest to annoy WHITE MALES.

Man gets annoyed because WHITE MALES show displeasure at said protest that he wanted them to get annoyed over.

Couldn’t make it up.

I think its getting boring now and doesn't need to be done at every game in the premier League and football league you don't see it at grassroots level football just my opinion and I know I will probably get slammed

Very hypothetical question in my case but no I would never boo anyone with the exception of some dirty player from the opponents. Not the team, not the ref, not the arrangement, and I wouldnt boo any statement/theme like BLM or the mental health thing they did last year at some point or if there was a silent minute to honour someone (even if I didnt like the person).

I dont believe in behaving like that, I dont see the value. Personally I dont give a shit about some dead politican getting honored or if someone wants to make a cute little talk about the climate or whatever, but I wouldnt boo it. "Oh they are expressing opinions, my ego needs me to make some noise to override theirs". Its ****ing primitive.

I dont boo anyone trying to do the best for the team or the world regardless if they are doing it badly or not doing what I personally believe to be the right thing. Its not a way of improving anything.

Well yes, you have a right to protest a protest that is trying to highlight racial inequality. That is your right. But if you do you probably need to take a good look at yourself.

What if you don’t think our game should used for political purposes?

Absolutely Pasta, and others are free to criticize those protesting the protesters. And on it goes. Hopefully among all this there is some kind of worthwhile discussion.

True, but it is up to us to fix the scars of those past actions. Just seeing the problems created by the past and throwing your hands up and saying " well it wasn't me that created it" is not going to help undo the harm from the past and create a better future.

So, the North Africans and Japanese should ‘fix the scars of the past’? ???

It might be that some are of the belief that the protest in question is divisive and counter productive.
But i am glad you believe people have the right to protest even if others disagree.

What if you don’t think our game should used for political purposes?

Then you need to abandon pretty much everything that is sports. Believing that kids and society gain things from football such as working together rather than only competing against eachother and trying to make a club a positive force in the community etc is political stuff, all the advertisement and shit is also political just like the ownership structures of clubs and what not... everything is politics. Sports always was and always will be political.

I don't see how people being treated equally is a political issue. Unless you are of the political persuasion that think some people are better than others.
Plus sport does not exist in a vacuum.

All people are already treated equally.

Anything where people have do do the exact same thing at the exact same time (not relating to football) is obviously done for political purposes when it was designed by a multi million dollar political organisation.

No, it’s not. Keep politics out of sport.

There’s no way I go to football for political reasons. You’re following the wrong club if you think that’s the case.
