Anyone have memories of this trip to the den - were you enjoying every minute or wondering if you'd get out alive - Anyone involved in rucking with the Bushwhackers?

I was working in the city even then so it was a London Bridge to Nre Cross Gate train for me and if I remeber a 3/4 mile walk to Cold Blow Lane it was a very sunny evening and the passion and sheer joy when John Robinson scored knowing we were going to Wembley was magnificent I did'nt really aprreciate the FA Cup semi eight years previous as a young teenager.

It was I believe Wednesday 22nd May 1991 I split up with a girl I had been with since June 1985 the next day we had a holiday booked for the next week I met her ex best mate in Orianas on the Saturday and shagged her senseless until the play off final on June 2nd the week and a bit from the Millwall 2nd leg til the Final with 10 days holiday to do what I liked with all my holiday cash and a fit semi nypho is one of the fondest memories I have ................happy days:smokin:

Yes I was in the seats and enjoyed the view of the caged albion fans taking the piss, the guy at the front who used his digits to keep reminding the Millwall fans of the score sitting just to his right was extremely amusing if a little foolhardy given the not so pent up rage that he was causing.

From about half time on I was concerned that I may not make it back to my car safely, there was a really violent atmosphere culminating in a large flag set on fire at the end and a mounted armoured escort from the ground.

yeah,

superb it was.
after the game they set light to part of their stand.
i can also remember the old bill pouring in at this point and lots of booby-hats flying up in the air.
hilarious scenes.

Great game. Result was beyond my wildest imagination. No fear for my safety that I can remember.

I remember the millwall fans knocking off a policemans helmet, filling it with paper & setting it on fire

Think that has to be the biggest memory of an actual incident for me, it was my first away game, I was only 14 and none of my mates wanted to go, so I went by myself. Also remember hugging 2 complete strangers when we took the lead, great introduction to away games. The other thing I remember was the floodlight blocking everyones view, did start trying to climb up it at one point, and sure at the end some of the Millwall fans started to knock over their own disabled fans, although could be wrong about that

Great day one of the best Albion away days i have ever had.

When Millwall ripped into us for the first 15mins or so i thought we may not hang on to our 4-1 aggregate from the first leg, they were really going for it.

The longer the game went on the more intense the game got for them, they were going F*cking mental - not just a handful the whole three sides of there packed ground!!

I really expected the coaches to get a stoneing but i expect they were booing there eyes out instead.

Barry Lloyd is not that liked for some reason but he did exceptionally well especially that day.

:clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

Train was late so got there a bit late just in time to see them take the lead.To say it was hostile in their was a understatement.
The strange thing was seeing black millwall fans giving small and codner racist abuse.
Train home from game was just f***ing brillant. We didnt even fill the away end that night as so many of our fans were bricking it

I was 10 years old and absolutely shitting myself.

I remember asking my Dad about 20 times if they were gonna kill us, and then legging it with my Dad out of the ground after the game as quickly as I've ever run in my life.

Not sure plod would have stopped them that night if they had gone for us.

I can picture it now, what an atmosphere!

I was there, we only sold 2,500 tickets and we were given 5,000

they completely pummelled us on the pitch, god knows how we won, proper smash and grab.

Walking back to the station, they were chucking things at us from the upstairs of their houses.

Was really scary, i was 16

I was there, second away game I think, i was in seats don't remember feeling intimidated but do remember the fire on the opposite side of the ground. Remember getting some abuse before the game from a brighton coach when walking along the waste ground behind the away end.

Was this the game when Robinson was attacked by a fan or was that the league game the following season?
