I'm sure most of us would be sympathetic to this, if the PR heavy, image conscious, club engaged with us about it.

Sticking their fingers in their ears and Comical Ali their utterances just make it worse.

Totally agree with this. A “we understand the frustration and are doing all we can” type statement would be great. Rather than “it’s nothing to do with us” which is why we’re getting currently. Also part of the frustration is about cars leaving the car park and the P&R service which clearly are to do with the club as they employ the people doing it (even if it’s outsourced the club have the outsource contract).

Same, although once we were all back on the coach way before the half hour “no leave zone” and the our driver had the audacity to attempt to leave “early” and got massively bollocked half way up village way

Coach season ticket adds about £12-£13 a game for me which on one hand is annoying but on the other worth every penny!

Yes, indeed it is I've done the same on coaches from Shoreham several times this season. But unlike most contributers on this thread, you are not relying on public transport, of which some methods (particularly on Sundays or public holidays) are becoming unviable.

My day of idly disassociating away from the decorating, finally led me to folding e-bikes, with this thread in mind.

Brompton's are, and seemingly will always be, prohibitively expensive, but I did find this mad thing for less than £800.

That appears to be the non-brompton, entry level, price point, with loads of choice although I have no idea how much assistance you get for you cash.

While the Halfords Assist, which the old couple down the road are always whizzing around on, is now less than £500. (As before no idea if any good)

Transport is supposed to be included in the ticket and the club have a duty to ensure that there is adequate transport. I went to the Sydney Cricket Ground for the T20 (transport included in the ticket price) and there was a tram running every few minutes and there were plenty of empty buses to take people into the city. 48,000 capacity and no problems.

When we went to Man City recently we used the tram from the city centre and it worked fine. Perhaps we need a tram route from central Brighton to University now bendies no longer exist.

Drive to Polegate then to Falmer £20 each, no way can we justify £40x19 extra a season for a 16 mile journey

As said earlier, with the bike sheds overlooked by state of the art CCTV, stewards, occasionally armed police, a few hundred other bikes and anyone loitering near them for 90% of the time parked automatically looking suspicious, it's about the only place I leave a bike and don't give it a second thought.

I'd love to have confidence in that. I'd hate to rely on it though.

Nicking a bike may attract attention of police, removing a battery, especially from a Brompton, less so. CCTV just proves it has been nicked, neither the police nor club would spend time finding the culprit.

Shouldn't be like that but unfortunately it is. CCTV a deterent but if it doesn't deter then it doesnt help a great deal unless it's related to a serious offence.

It's just a parochial version of the active trave debate at large.
For all the reason we already know transport is up pooh creek.
The answer isn't longer platforms, Thameslink trains, bypassing Brighton, more buses (despite there being no more drivers) waterslides cable cars and monorails - because none of that is happening.

An answer is to utilise the very good cycle path up from town (I can't speak for the east side of the stadium), yet that's the one met with the most objections, with you now adding mythical cycle crime to place with no reported cycle crime.
There are a damn sight easier and 'safer' bikes/batteries to nick, all across Sussex, than the ones with stewards, police and CCTV actively watching over them.

After listening to an in depth interview with PB on Albion Roar travel was one of only subjects not talked about . I asked Albion Roar producer on a forum here why he didnt bring it up with Barber and even he didnt respond. It just seems to be a no no subject from clubs point of view. Minimum I would ask is that club recognise there is a problem.

What was very disappointing was the The Albion Roar tweeted that they had an interview coming up with PB

I asked if they were wanting questions to put to PB - I wanted the issue of transport raised - their reply was they interview had already taken place.

Very disappointing.
