Neither here nor there
I thought De Bruyne looked very out of sorts in the City game this week against Chelsea, and not particularly happy either – as far as these things can be discerned by watching a game on TV. Maybe there's a bit of a Belgian World Cup hangover going on. To be fair, Tross always looks a bit fed up, even on his best days. It might just be his natural demeanour.

Foy anyone with access to an Australian VPN server and a UK Paramount+ account, I have answered my own question - yes you can! Currently got Palace Saints on having jumped to Reading - Watford. Worth checking your Sky subscription to see if you have/can get a free Paramount+ account.

Seems to be working... but no coverage yet, just a scrolling Paramount+ logo
I am watching Melbourne City vs. Western United now

More discussion is on the Trossard WC thread but it is no surprise he is not playing today - RDZ said he wouldn’t be until he was %100 and I also said earlier that it would not be a surprise if an announcement came from BHA that offer for Newcastle or Chelsea had been accepted before this window closed.

Brighton have triggered the 12 month extension (hopefully for Brighton one that includes a release clause). He has until Summer ‘24 - 18 months. Otherwise he would have been gone on a free transfer this Summer.

Anyway, mostly speculation. Enjoy the match!
Better if it doesn't

Oh ok. What did he say?
I posted on the Trossard thread

“he is ‘suffering something after the WC’ according to RDZ but he couldn’t clarify whether it was mental or physical just that ‘I am a coach and have to play with the best 11 possible‘.”

Why is it hopeful there's a release clause? A release clause wouldn't help Brighton.
Because if Tross now leaves before 2024, Brighton will get a better transfer fee while the market value decreases as the contract wears down. hypothetically of course.

Swindon, but used to be Manila
Nice piece on McAllister's return from the world cup on NZ Sports/Bein where he said he is happy at BHA......the voice over said he has pledged his future to BHA

cut to the 2 nobodys in the studio....'BHA will struggle to keep him'!!!!!

Why..?
A release clause says "if club X puts a bid that meets the release clause, Brighton need to accept it". But if no one wants to meet the release clause, they might just put a lower bid in, and Albion could still accept it (if they want).
