It will be great when Labour win the next election and then suffer an internal war between the luvvie leftie Londonite Corbynistas and the moderates.
Why will it be great?

Who are these luvvie leftie Londonite Corbynistas of whom you speak? Barry Gardiner and John McDonnell?

You do realise that old men making snarky comments that are picked up and spun by the Daily Mail does not quite constitute a war.

But, by all means, fill your tiny boots. ???

No idea on member numbers but the days of unions being the powerhouse and could pretty much lead Labours policies, long gone?

The current strikes are a pain and have altered our Xmas plans and upset a few family who can't now be together. Which in the grand scheme of things, not that bigger deal tbh compared to some issues people around the world are having.

I don't have a full grasp of the nuances of the strike, but agree with the principles.

So this is the thread you've chosen to embarrass yourselves on this morning

Shouldn't woke be in there somewhere ?

Partridge (in the form of Madeley) in a heated tête-à-tête with the Strikemeister on ITV this morning, worth the licence fee alone.

:ROFLMAO:

This could be entertaining, I'll make myself a coffee :lolol:

These ad hominem attacks are becoming more commonplace.
Well when you don't actually give your view on anything and just post a one line 'funny' insult, then run away when asked, it does tend to stifle debate, exactly the same way you trolled the Brexit thread yesterday

So, let's try and find out what your actual position on this is. What do you think about what Mick Lynch is doing and, more generally the upcoming strikes and the Government's reaction to them ?

You'll get an 'ironic' thumbs up in a minute.

Unless a moderator has warned him to stop being a tit.

We shall see....

He made Richard Madeley look silly this morning.

Or rather, Richard Madeley made Richard Madeley look silly this morning.

Richard Madeley branded ‘ridiculous’ by GMB viewers after telling RMT boss Mick Lynch to ‘jog on’

Good Morning Britain viewers have mocked presenter Richard Madeley for his conduct during an interview with union boss Mick Lynch. The interview saw Madeley repeatedly interupt Lynch and talk at length in condemnation of the strikes, at one point telling the exasperated interviewee to “jog on”.

There really isn't a slaphead emoji that would be sufficient

One of the interesting things about party conference season is how Labour is always portrayed as being at conflict and the Tories as unified when it's nothing of the sort. The Labour conference is where policy is debated and decided, therefore of course there will be robust discussion, disagreements, and different points of view, whereas the Tory conference is just self-congratulatory jingoism. Labour's relatively democratic approach to decision making actually unites them as a party far more than the "internal war" the media likes to portray, and far more than the Tories on most issues. The Tories just do it in private (or they used to anyway, not so much anymore).

Sir K has upset the masses....

Sharon Graham, leader of Unite the Union, which has more than a million members, said Labour was "becoming more and more irrelevant to ordinary working people".

The TSSA Transport Union, of which Mr Tarry is a former member, said Labour was "deluded" if it thought it could win the next election "while pushing away 7 million trade union members".

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-62329521

I think this might be termed as 'an own goal' in the football parlance.
Sharon Graham needs to remember that while there are 7 million trade union members there is an electorate of 47 million, most of whom don't care about the unions and a good 10 million who actively despise them. Labour will not be irrelevant if they are in power, and can only start to repair the damage if they get elected.

Plus - there will still be a lot of Union members who would rather see a Labour Government in power than the current bunch of shysters for the overall good of the country - and will vote accordingly.

Where are you getting your figures from?
10 million that actively despise unions?

We're lucky to get 70% turn out in an election.
If 10 million of them actively despised Unions, you would think that it would be the biggest Policy debate in every election.
It rarely is.

I love the bloke but I think to appeal to the modern working class man rather than preaching that ordinary working people shouldn't be poor and have a decent standard of living, he should put 2 union jacks in his living room, that seems to have more impact
