[h=1]Michael Appleton: Blackburn Rovers
sack manager after 15 games[/h]
Comments (20)

Relegation
strugglers Blackburn Rovers have sacked manager Michael Appleton after 15 games
in charge at Ewood Park.

He is the third manager dismissed by the club this season following the
departures of Steve Kean in September and Henning Berg in December.

Reserve team manager Gary Bowyer has been put in charge for the remainder of
the season.

Former Portsmouth boss Appleton, 37, left Blackpool to take
control of the Championship club on 11 January.

He won four of his first seven games, but Blackburn have failed to win since
knocking Arsenal out of the FA Cup.

Rovers are currently 18th in the table and four points above the relegation
zone.

More to follow.

Was there another chicken incident at the game against Burnley?

Sunday is, admittedly, something of a pleasant haze, but I'm sure I remember watching on the screens at the Amex as some stewards went chasing around after a chicken on the pitch. Everyone on the concourse was cheering each time the errant hen made a break for it.

Like everyone else I was watching that on the West Stand Upper Concourse and found it hysterical. What I do not get it who smuggled it into the ground, Blackburn or Burnley fans and for that matter, how do you get a chicken into a stadium undetected?!

On a serious note, I bet they come in for Gus in a big way and I will look forward to us telling them to get STUFFED.

Albion & England forever.

Sage, onion, a little seasoning seems to be traditional.

The bloke is a mug for taking the job there in the first place.

He had managed to escape from one joke club and got fixed up nicely at Blackpool so he deserves nothing but contempt for his utter lack of judgement.

But OMG Rovers are the laughing stock of the league again

With Blackburn scrambling for points and embroiled in a relegation battle, wonder if they will try and poach Gus. Mind you his brain would have to be fried even to consider it!

Absolute shambles, somehow, they have managed to make Chelsea and Stains seem well run.

I think I might throw my hat in the ring, apart from this Monday, I could do the rest of the week.
