Exactly. He's the best right back in the Premier League, I know dozens of United fans who have even agreed with that statement, he gets forward as well as Glenn Johnson does, but actually has the ability to do what he is on the pitch to do, DEFEND. Glenn Johnson cannot defend if his life depended on it, the only reason he gets the notice he does is because of his ability to cut inside on his left foot and occasionaly curl one in the top corner.
Richards is an absolute machine at right back, and if I were him i'd be EXTREMELY pissed off that the likes of Johnson, Smalling and Jones were picked above him despite only one being a right back.
