Will he come to the PL?

what's the equivalent of a cold, rainy night in Stoke these days?

He is leaving Barca for two reasons...

1) They're a shambles. So he wants a well run, ambitious, successful club.
2) He wants to win the Champions League.

This really limits his choices. In fact, Liverpool stand out but i can't see that. Man City have been linked because they're rich and have Guardiola. But really? Can you really see that?

I think PSG, under Tuchel and off the back of a Champions League final have to be favourites.

One of the big boys in Italy guaranteed. No way will he come to this rain-soaked shit hole and endure playing through our Autumn/Winter.

Ronaldo at Juve, Messi at Inter...

Now that is mental. So what is Zaha on?
Similar apparently. More perhaps after his last new contract (which meant he couldn't leave). I don't know, but Barndoor Benny has been screwing them for £125k a week for years. Money well wasted as far as I'm concerned.

If this club really had a genuine ambition to be top 10......

I pity him. Man City...BORING. Juve....Jesus, BORING. PSG...same old same old BORING... The German side that wins everything.....mein GOTT! Real...F**k No. What’s left for him. Life is dry, empty, flat, joyless....all that he has wanted has been won or has been given to him.
Only thing left, reduce the money and increase the challenge. Albion. Obviously.

Imagine him coming to the Premier League, finally getting a chance to see us play against genuinely one of, if not the best player, to have ever played the game...

And not getting a ticket in the lottery, or have it being played behind closed doors.

Bound to go to Leeds.

Yes, he obviously has some unfulfilled ambitions and to be allowed to play at Elland Road for the World Champions Designate would surely be the peak of his career, he'd probably be happy to go on a free transfer.

I’ve got a feeling he’ll go to Inter Milan to get his rivalry with Ronaldo back up and running

By far the most likely outcome is he stays at Barca. It doesn't seem to me that this release clause for free is still in operation. This transfer request is a gambit in my view to get what he wants ... and he will.

If he does move, PSG by far the most likely destination.

Nobody in Italy can nearly afford him

China / US not impossible

Premier League? I strongly doubt it. He wants to play Harlem Globetrotters type games. He hasn't performed in tough games where it matters for a long time. He doesn't have the balls to test himself.

Loads of Leeds :lolol::lolol::lolol: Were saying he would join them before all of this, just because (obviously) Bielsa made him by managing Messi's first club, before Messi ever got there. Also Messi loves Bielsa.

Now i'm sure this was all tongue in cheek, not even Leeds fans are that deluded are they?..... Are they? But can you imagine how unbearable they would be if he did sign for them

100%. The comfort zone of Barca is all he craves. A bit of brinksmanship from his camp, then a Barca player this coming season, and the one after...

Great timing from Messi - announce you want to leave Barca just days after PSG lose Champions League final. I expect his wages will be partially offset with the saving if they do lose Cavani and Thiago Silva.

I fancy City might choose the slighty cheaper option of Suarez.

i read about reaction to Koeman, i cant help feel its a very deliberate appointment to shake up a squad, Messi included.

Probably true enough. Barca's last few managers have been lower profile, probably because Messi wants to call the shots.

Koeman won't let him and he knows it. Interesting to see if the hierachy have the balls to face him down
