I find this all absurd. Maclaren have been right royally stitched up by one of their own drivers, yet the drivers get to keep their points? I'll happily admit I like Ron Dennis, and feel absolutely gutted for him. But this is all wrong. The drivers should have lost their points too if this was seen to be anything other than a witchhunt.
Put it this way, Ferrari have a history of pushing the rules to the extreme to get performance out of their car. They spend a fortune doing this and hiding it, have more than their fair share on the world motorsports board to protect their own interests, and they find out that the stupid drivers are swapping emails about testing results and details - so what do the Italians do - claim injustice and illegal intellectual property law theft...Pot kettle black indeed!
