The man seems so upfront and honest that I expect the Albion are going to benefit from his past reputation as a "walker" as he seems committed to this club. Best news this season if he signs, even better than staying up imo, but to get MM and the players he wants signed up and staying up would be awesome.

He seems to talk sense, that even if we get Falmer it will be two years before we move there, so why not sign for 2 years anyway. Though i would guess the bit where he talks about ifs and buts talks about clauses where if we do not get Falmer, then he can start looking elsewhere.

We are stuck with Withdean for the next two years (at least!) and everything that means physically and financially.

BUT McGhee doesn't have to put up with it. What he's achieved here would get him another job quite easily IMHO.

The fact that he's even considering it says volumes about the man.

Perhapse our fantastic rendition of "drinking pints of whisky" on Saturday helped him to decide?

He does seem a man of honesty and integrity. I am really pleased.

I think it also speaks volumes about this football club, its fans and its Chairman. Seems that life in Brighton agrees with MM

MM signing for 2 years-if true-is fantastic news for him and us. His undeserved reputation of being a walker has been put to bed and we benefit if another club comes in for him by being entitled to compensation. The man is becoming a legend.

He's a truely fantastic manager, the way he got the likes of Harty, Mayo, Oatway all Division 3 players to play football and compete against a top Premiership side is absolutely brilliant, and the youngsters in Virgo, Hinsh and Harding and developing into good Championship players.

Good man, sounds like the right type of man to manage the crossover (hopefully anyway) if/when Falmer is approved. Although sometimes he seems to be confused about what tactics he's playing he has got us to a relatively healthy league position and has brought the youngsters into the team seamlessly.

It has taken a while for me to come round to him but Saturday was the icing on the cake. I have more faith in him than any manager we've ever had. Honesty and integrity are rare in football these days. He could have easily held us to ransom over a Falmer decision but he is leading by example. Now the players should form an orderly queue behind him.

His tactics are excellent, his "gambles" - sticking Virgo up front, triple substitutions - always seem to pay off (the lucky git, he is allowed to screw up too but he never seems to) and his attitude to the fans, players and board are I would say, exemplary - much better, IMHO than blessed little Micky.

On top of that, he seems an absolutely first class top bloke to boot - honest, direct and with his feet on the ground about the sadly limited resources he has to play with. We're lucky in extreme to have him.

Damn it, sign! Do it! Now!

Exactly. I bet Mickey Adams wouldn't mind still being here.

Coppell and Taylor only left because of the ground situation!

Managers are allowed to "manage" here and it's a nice part of the world!

Let's not count our chickens, it only says he's going to have talks about a new contract.

The younger players getting new contracts, will have a bearing on his decision and vice versa.

Having said all of that, please, please, please sign you little scottish beauty ... you know it makes sense!
