Do we keep him for another month or let him go ?

Will a better forward become available as the transfer window opens up ?

Keep him for now. I still think he could be decent for us anyway :dunce:

He's not brilliant but he does get in there and cause problems.

Produces around one inspiring piece of football per game but not much else available at present.

He is awful. Really really awful.

He gets knocked over easier then Leon and even when he wins headers they rarely go anywhere near one of our players.

He is best when he is fouled before he has the chance to dribble, pass or shoot.

His shot against Gillingham was the most pitiful I have ever seen.

When your own fans start laughing at how crap you are it is saying something.

How is this man a pro footballer?

someone agrees with me!

I say yes, his workrate is terrific, great aerial ability and he worries defenders. Sometimes his use of the ball isn't great and we're yet to see evidence of any great shooting/goal-poaching ability, but overall, he's been a plus.

The lesson of this season so far is that we desperately need a competent targetman - it makes all the difference to our evolving style of play, so we need at least two options of that type of player to cover for injuries and suspensions.

I'd love to be able to afford better than Virgs and McCammon, but if that's what our budget gives us, I'm satisfied - they are doing the job of keeping us up.

Credit to them and credit to McGhee for playing them.

What amazes me is that he is a pro footballer. There are dozens of better players playing in non league Sussex football and Robinson and Molango would both do better.

I've only seen him at Wolves, but that seems a fair assessment.

Well said that man. If for no other reason than Bens Grandad doesn't like him. :jester:

Seriously, he played well today. We used him in the role he should have been used before - target man. He is a lump that puts himself around and wins headers and generally worries defenders. He is the best we will get with the money we can afford. Since he has played for us, we have picked up an awful lot of points - and people want to get rid of him. Unbelievable. There really is no pleasing some people.

Complete and utter tosh. They would make better target men? Robinson who falls over when someone looks at him and Molango who thinks it is a foul when a defender gets within 10 yards?

Nobody can deny that Robinson and Molango are more skillful or better prospects. But have you been watching this season? We have picked up wins by battling our hearts out and disrupting the opposition. A lump like McCammon is our best option for roughing up defenders. Its a shame but reality if we want to stay up.

He is awful.

There are plenty of better players around we could try. Plenty.
McCammon should not be playing County League Football let alone Championship.

He was not good today. He had one header that went to a Brighton player.

Against QPR he was woeful.

It's some kind of weird footballing snobbery. Unless you look and play like some kind of cross between Defoe and Nathan Ellington, you'll never please these type of fans. Big, awkward yet effective team players need not apply for the Albion.
