Whing suspendd for two games, Richards injured. Not great timing.

very true

wouldnt want el abd moved out of centre midfield, as he looks like he is starting to form a decent partnership in their with thomson. plus he always looks a liability at right back and it would encourage him to give more back passes

personally, i would stick hart in there. trouble is, with him and mayo at full backs, we would be very susceptible against any team that gets the ball wide with a bit of pace down the flanks

delighted he did so well and if he can cover like that every time he is needed he can stay as long as he likes.

apparently whing's suspension doesn't start until one week after his booking so no worries for tuesday at least but will miss him against swindon and forest

Mayo playing for his contract, has concentraighted his mind,i agree we need squad players who dont demand out if not playing. With ref to Whing,is Reid near fit,i felt him to be a capable right back.

Yes he is, but he's ALWAYS had a habit of spending a long time out of the side and then producing some good performances upon returning to it.

I believe it's called.......

Well played the Prince, he's a local lad, and our last link with Hereford '97, so I hope he plays excellently every opportunity he has.

Away tuesday - which might mean el-Abd to go back in defense alongside El-phick, el-Lynch and el-Butters.
Martot, Dixon, Jake R and Fraser can come in for the midfield as required.

No great causes for concern as yet, with a bit of rotation available for a change.
Yes, strange as it seems we do have a deep, and talented enough squad to call upon.

Tough match on tuesday night - and Huddersfield will be smarting from their result today. Ambition is made of stern stuff though, so let's just see.

Yes he is, but he's ALWAYS had a habit of spending a long time out of the side and then producing some good performances upon returning to it. That's why he's been here so long. Say Richards is out for the whole season (which he won't be, but it's hypothetical), then I would back Mayo to do well for the next few games, but it's absolutely 100% nailed on that a match-losing performance isn't far away. So, fine as back-up, and if Richards is out for a week or two then he's alright as back-up, but I think everyone knows he's not a long-term answer.

Agree.

I think he deserves 1 more year, not so sure about OGH tho:(

Kerry did really well today, but OGH is a legend and dont you dare diss him!
He might have needed some longer studs on his slippy boots, but I would have just 'LOVED IT' (read in Kevin Keegan stylie) if he'd have scored today and I was absolutely gutted for him, and the team that had worked so hard all match, when it didn't happen.

oh gary gary gary gary harttttttt.........
It didn't matter, cos we wwwwwooooooonnnnnn!
.....and something about Victoria Beckham that I'm not allowed to say on the radio.

Well done Kerry. Excellent game. And started the move which resulted in the goal. Played at the same standard as Richards. A seamless substitution.

Dean must have been tempted to move Lynch to LB, El-Abd to CB and bring Fraser on in central midfield. But he made the right decision. El-Abd looks good with Thomson in the centre and he played some very nice balls to feet today.

There will also be a temptation to move him to RB during Whing's suspension, but I would prefer to see Hart or Fraser play there and leave the midfield alone.

He did more than "start the move". He ploughed through three Doncaster players, every one of whom was better placed to win the ball than he was. I remember thinking "f*** me, what's Mayo DOING?" It was brilliant stuff and, without it, Forster wouldn't have been anywhere near the penalty area to take his tumble and score.

Hats off to the guy. He's a great survivor. I've always loved him - so pleased to read the reports of his performance today.

Kerry read the game really well today and as lord B said, really made the move for the pen.
Harty though, I cringed for him when he was clean through. First he mis-controlled it, then when he did get a shot in it was more like a back pass. If Kerry could lose half a stone (both to improve his play and as a sign of commitment) then if for one would be happy to see him given another year. PG

I'm not one of Kerry's greatest fans but in fairness to the guy I thought that he had a cracking game today, and hats off to him. Let's hope that there is more to come in the weeks ahead.

Too right. I don't think TCB has to have a panic attack because I think the qualifying number is 23 games and there aren't enough left now.

Mayo does JUST enough to make people who should really know better want to give him another season.

Get rid. We can do SO much better.
