I know Poyet says he has but is anyone really convinced that Kishishev can play fullback? I wouldn't like to see it to be honest. Once Dunk is fit and Greer is available we shouldn't have too many problems defensively, El-Abd can cover every position. As long as the rest are fit and available.

There shall be RAPTUROUS cheers and Thunderous cackles of "Peanut head, Peanut head" when Holroyd scores a magnificent hat-rick and I for one cannot wait to see Seagulls4life chew on either some expensive tasty leather or some plastic shit from sports direct.

Anyway, Tanno could probably "do a job", but as hopefully you all know by know, I bloody well hate that expression. Northern man with pipe, pie and diphtheria could "do a job". I could do a job, yet I wouldn't offer anything to the team and neither will a 37 year old crocked assistant manager. El-Abd is fine as cover if not spectacularly uncoordinated and Mcnulty?

It seems to me that this transfer window that promised so much is well, a bit shit really and this smacks of desperation with Sky sports deadline day looming the frightening scenario of Michael Dubbery arriving as "cover" could well happen if Gus doesn't sign someone, sharpish. Despite the evident talent of the manager this is his first summer window as boss and inexperience may be denting our chances this season, although I hope I am proved wrong in the coming weeks.

I think in these type of situations the risk is bigger than the reward.

1. What if he's shit and costs us a game or two?
2. What if he gets injured and is unable to help with training the team?
3. What sort of message does it send to our reserves defenders?
4. It crosses the line between management and players. Unless he gets the armband Greer will be ordering him around on the pitch, then the roles get reversed in training.

I guess one or more of the reasons above is why we don't see more of this sort of thing happening. Therefore, I'm against it.

Where's the option for sign of despair setting in for Gus? Worried, and not voting until option is there!

So you're disregarding the last competitive game Kish played before joining us then? For Bulgaria. At left back.

El-Abd always does a good job at left back. Don't see the problem to be honest.

So why risk him playing in the reserves? Tano would be 3rd or 4th choice at most. It was just to see if he still had the legs for it if there was an injury crisis.
