Yes one for @AZ, perhaps he has been involved in internationals.
I can’t help but find it strange that Benitez decides they’re interested in Maupay just before we play them. Personally, I think there is little credibility in this - it’s just mind games!
Nothing would surprise me in this window, we seem to be on a mission to actively weaken the squad.
how so?
Because we have sold ONE player for £50 million after ONE year playing in the PL
We are doomed

Still think the squads stronger than last seasonYes, we've got rid of Jahanbakhsh, Tau and hop-along Izquierdo - going to hell in a handcart (via the Championship). Nailed on ...........
Let's stick to facts, eh? It isn't.

That wasn’t the point of the discussion, losing BW has made the squad weaker fact. If he had played today Gray simply would not have that space to run into.I dont think he thought the team would go undefeated this season. Neither would a couple of signings change that.
Up against giants Keane and Holgate on his own, with awful service. A few times hoof balls were played to him
Welbeck faced the same.
His movement was poor today and just wasn’t at it (protecting his shoulder?). Just wasn’t at it, even when Pickford fumbled he seemed to be a yard short.

Anonymous. Don’t think he was anywhere near fit enough as it was a really un-Maupay like performance.
