To be fair, I quite like them as a pairing at the beginning of games. They stretch the game and offer us something different. However, they're not the answer when the other team are entrenched. Welbeck is the much better option then, as his equaliser today proved.

What Danny did today was typical of the type of striker we have been missing . Strikers like Welbeck have the missing ingredient that we have lacked since reaching the promised land . We have no option but find a striker that can lead the line , not a make do or " Promising " someone like Ivan Toney . Yes he will cost a lot , and there wont be any shortage of admirers , but why didn`t we go for him when he was at Posh ? . Maybe we did , i dont know , but as good as our recruitment system is , we are still missing something . And that worries me because Tony Bloom doesn`t miss much , and that leaves GP , but i love his style of play , so i hope it gets sorted in January one way or the other . Today was just not good enough .

Sell NM and and loan AC to raise the funds to get another striker?

I’m not sure how much more I can take watching them. They’re letting Potter down week in, week out. That was embarrassing from both of them today, amateurish.

On fire Fareham and bang on.

Maupay is ordinary. I was staggered we didn’t take a punt on Toney in the summer, far more physical and at least equivalent to Maupay.

Connolly needs games and a loan is the obvious option.

Although I agree these 2 are woeful currently it doesn't help that we keep lobbing in high balls when they are up against giant defenders never gonna score that way.
If we can't return to the early season quick through balls then they are both pointless in this team.

I reckon we will spend roughly 43p on two more absolutely shithouse bargain basement strikers in the January window.

Depressing. They'll both still be better than Connolly, however.

Have seen bugger all much good from Connolly apart from that one game. No better than CMS imo and we desperately need someone up there that can control a ball and find the net.

Jury out on Maupay but only because Connolly so shit

Connelly to me is one of worst strikers I have seen for Albion. So lucky to have played so many PL games Unbelievable selected over Welbeck in such an important game. Of course Maupay is missing chances but unlike Connelly has ability to lose a defender. Couldnt understand he was subbed.
