I know it only the West Indies, but a century on a debut, at Lords, batting at No.7, and scoring at as good as a run a ball, is quite simply SUPERB!

I'm not a huge cricket fan, but is this the guy that Shane Warne advised should not be picked for England because he wasn't ready?

Shane Warne told the press that Prior was not England material and that his team mate, Pothas, should be the man to take the gloves.

To be fair, we will have to wait to see what he does with the gloves before judging him properly.

Maybe there could be a space for him as just a batsman? Maybe I am getting carried away?

We will need the whole of the summer and the winter tour to make an honest appraisal.

Just enjoy the moment FFS.

When was the last time a Sussex batsman scored a century for England???

Why do people on here always have to take away the positives!

As soon as he lets some byes through, I will start a thread...

It was an immense feeling when he hit those century runs. Hairs standing to attention! I can't even beging to imagine how he felt.

So proud to see a Sussex player back in the England fold. Next up, Yardy!

Tony Grieig in 1977 against India.

I believe that Pothas is not England-qualified yet, although will be next month. He might have missed his chance now.

Pothas is 33 as well, isn't he?

Typical Warne, shooting his mouth off. Time will tell how Prior does, but Warne's just trying to get his mate a run in the side.
