And I’m not convinced we don’t already have one.

Ibrahim Osman played centre forward 10 times last season scoring 4 goals and assisting 3 times. I’d wager he is faster than the vast majority of defenders in the Premier League. I’m not sure about strength though.

My thoughts exactly. De Zerbi ball never seemed to suit, he is Harry Kane'est but obviously without the goal tally to date. Needs to increase his explosive speed as he may well get left out of position with the fast pacey wingers we now have on the counter attack leaving no options in the box - also dubious work rate in the high press. Get this sorted and we really could have a 100 million pound striker within 2 years.

For as long as I have been a Brighton fan there has always been something of a love in with defensive central midfielders. This just feels like a briliant signing, which I hope will shore up a lot of our defensive shortcomings from last year and give some of our attacking players a little more freedom.

From when I started as a Brighton fan...DCMs didn't even exist . I guess 4 and 6 were the closest .
