Two blokes who have both taken stick at various times, but as I was watching Guy Butters have yet another flawless game for the Albion today, I was thinking what a fantastic signing he has turned out to be.

Without Danny Cullip at the back, he is perfect for the youngsters of Virgo and Adam Hinshelwood, while even Danny seemed to always play better alongside an experienced centre half.

Butters has been superb now for about 18 months, so for once, let's hear it for the guy who signed him up.

Martin Hinshelwood.

I think Martin is a good player spotter, thats why he's still at the club, he's just a CRAP manager.

But either way, Butters is an incredible asset to the club now.

If it wasn't for Martin we wouldn't have Race on our board either.

It's because of Butters that we're not missing Danny at all.

He reads the game so well he just gets to positions without having to push himself. A mark of a good player.

Agreed, but Hinsh has certaliny stepped up since Danny went. He looks more solid.

Hats off to both of them. Top work boys, just make sure you keep it up ...

Its amazing the transformation in Guy since he trimmed down a bit, I wonder what his secret was...

...this left me wondering, would John Prescott's reaction times speed up any if he shed a few pounds...
