Id rather say thanks for Virgo, Hinsh, Harding, Hammond, Mcphee, El Abd, Robinson and Mayo.

Now thats good work.

Absolutely agree with that Marshy, I just feel that many of us right off his tenure as manager as an unmittigated disaster, but the truth is that the signing he made of Butters is reaping massive dividends now.

As has been previously mentioned, he is a good spotter of talent, and thank goodness we managed to keep him at the club.

MH, :clap2:

The youth team is really starting to produce top players for us, and he should take a large slice of the praise. Has anyone (including Crewe!) got more youth team players in their team in this division?

I think looking back we all realise that Hinsh was stitched up when he was made manager, it was clearly not a job that he was suited to, it was unfortunate that he lasted so long in it before going back to what he is quite clearly brilliant at.

I can't think that there are many teams either in this division or even further afield where the youth set up is producing so much young talent, for much of that we owe him a great debt of gratitude, long may he continue.

Guy originally turned us down right?

I thought Taylor was in charge then? Obviously not, sorry!

As far as he knows PT never made any attempt to sign him from Gillingham, although he did hear a whisper that he might have been interested!

Tank did originally turn big hinsh down at first though, but signed a few weeks later.

...but even in those heady days when we could afford £2000 a week for Kitson's wages the books had to be balances so we took a cheapy manager option. In hindsight a bad move for club and Mr Hinchelwood

I think he stitched us up with the likes of Kitson and even more so with his so-called home grown talent..Packham, Marney, Wilkinson et al.

I think when it comes to talent Mr Wilkins should take the credit he deserves. Funny how MA Wanted to take him to Leicester but not hinsh.
