yeah I did know that one. My best friend in college is a diehard Pool fan, as his family is from the area and its been their club forever. I'm a new fan but I wouldn't call myself a plastic, just a guy who before recently didn't watch football. Don't mean to step on anyone's toes of course, I'm only here to figure out the best way to get a ticket to our away Marseille and Athens matches. And to keep up with the Albion of course

Oh dear. I’m part imagining the American on the Green Street film and part imagining someone down my local. Either way you need to be a STH or member and to have pre registered for away EL tickets.

I'm a member, and I did preregister, but I fear because I have no points on my account I won't get a ticket if these figures of 5000 are true, so that's why I've been considering a ticket from Marseille.

It impossible to know really. I think many of the 5000 pre registered because they liked the idea of it and wanted to keep their options open. There was no definite commitment needed at that stage. You have a chance for Marseilles I think. Points for members don’t mean anything as the way the tiers work is STH at several points levels then all members.

The 5000 is misleading. I pre-registered just to have the option. I’m almost certainly not going and I’m hoping for Athens instead now.

This is quite promising news. I can only hope a ticket will trickle down my way. I'd love to make the Athens match too.

and they haven't announced when tickets will start being offered out, right? I checked the original posting they had about registering for the game, but didn't see anything about that

I’m going to be on holiday in Turkey for this game, two weeks all inclusive near bodrum - just thought I would explore the costs of popping over for the game. Found this on skyscanner - am tempted- very tempted!!!

I visited in May. It's about 10 minutes past the stadium on the same bus route.
I spent a good hour wandering around. You have to sign in as a visitor. I then went up to the roof which is pretty special. Then to the 5th (I think) floor where there are shops, an architectural exhibition, hotel, cafe. There are occasional guided tours. I asked a bloke in the architectural exhibition what it's like living in the building and he said its brutally hot in the summer!
