Several questions re match/travel:

1. Presume clubs/police will be trying to keep it as safe as poss by bussing us all in from La Joliette to the away end and same back after, after a 30 minute hold back, as they did Spurs last year?

https://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news/2022/october/information-for-fans-travelling-to-marseille/#:~:text=Supporters are advised not to visit the Old Port (Vieux,or congregate in large groups.

2.Guessing La Joliette will also be where ticket pick up is?

3. Hoping Albion will allow driving license ID as not keen on taking passport out that day if I can avoid that?
After reading the Spurs advice to fans it sounds like a time warped away trip back to the 80’s.

Ahhh I have some slightly bad news for you

Nice ville is a bit of a pain in the butt to get from the airport. There is a station next to the airport nice saint-augustien which is about 15 min walk from the terminal which also has direct trains to Marseille, there is a train at 11.08 from that station.
Not when you have a mate who is picking you up in a car :D

That is reassuring as I am flying solo and my hotel is near La Joilette.

Don’t suppose anybody knows anything / has experience buying an away ticket from a reseller at Orange Velodrome? Expect very hard to come by and expensive 😁

What site are you seeing the 11.08 train?

I've just booked Luton to Nice, arriving at 10.15 so that one would be ideal.

Is either that or getting a bus which is a lot cheaper but doesn't leave the airport until 12.25

here and there
£88 return for two to Nice, car hire and drive to marseille, hotel at the ground (which could be interesting) then onto Montpellier for Friday night, drive back to Nice and then fly home on Saturday. Marvellous!! Just need a couple of tickets for the game now..

Then onto the Liveropool game on Sunday. Perfect!!

Confused as to whether you are being serious or some kind of attempt at a joke?

No way will the Albion be passing on tickets to re-sellers so I cant see any other way an away ticket could come on to market at the ground than this- Albion fan collects their ticket with photo ID in city centre, gets escorted bus to Velodrome, sells to reseller there who then makes his profit, with presumably the fan then twiddling his/her thumbs till match finishes, and then gets escorted bus back into city centre. Oh and all within a few hours before kick off.

No you cant be serious?!

There cctv everywhere in Monaco - so watch your behaviour . Drunks have been known to be put in prison overnight for not doing a lot wrong . Great place to stay - expensive , shallow cos the women are all about money , where you live , car, watch , what clothes brands you wear etc but fun .

😂 “Some kind of attempt at a joke”

Yeah it was just a bit of classic ticket acquisition banter - usually gets a few laughs but I’ve a tough audience tonight

Booked for all three, for Marseille flying to Montpellier and train onwards. Thursday night in Marseille and Friday inMontpellier, returning to Blighty on Saturday.
Didn't fancy staying in Marseille too long.
