There's another common one, you're anti scouse.

Got no problem with the toffees who don't carry the same level of entitlement and don't have an army of 2nd club merchants shouting down any negative comments.

Why do you need to stick up for them if you don't have any affiliation?
Because they get so ludicrously stereotyped as something they’re not. The most embarrassed I’ve been for a long time was on Saturday when a bunch of condescending halfwits started singing "we pay your benefits".

I’ve no doubt at all that there are some horrible Liverpudlians just as there are some horrible Brighton fans (see above + the mystery puncher at Marseille). But based on my many visits to the city, for football and non-football reasons, I find Scousers incredibly friendly and genuine people. It’s undeniable that some people on here get instantly triggered by any reference to Liverpool or Liverpudlians. Go and spend a bit of time in the city — you’ll change your mind.

Actually it's probably 75% French come to think of it. The Vikings are famous for invading somewhere, winning, then integrating with the locals to the point of assimilating their culture. There are Viking genes all over European coastlands. Slightly odd way to carry on, but is saves on years of protracted negotiation :lolol:

All the Bristol Rovers coaches were bricked near the Greyhound stadium after the 2-8 defeat in the 70’s… 6 coaches without a window left.
“I see the lights are flashing,
We’re all going Bristol bashing”

Disgusting
i was just coming up 14….. I didn’t have a strong enough arm for a direct hit though….
Sorry Harry

I was reading this on Twitter yesterday, comments are worth looking at.

When we sung, “We’ve got inside toilets” was funny in the 80’s

Mixed replies - some saying they agree it was embarrassing and some telling NSK to STFU!!

From my point of view, I was a bit taken aback when I heard it. I joined in most of the singing/chanting - but not that one. Pathetic if you ask me.

Just like I will not join in with "shoot the Palace scum".

For me, singing is about supporting our lads ... positive songs ... you can shove the negative "we pay your benefits" and Palace song where the sun don't shine.

And for me, the Everton stewards - just like the stewards at Liverpool - were great ... friendly and helpful. Chalk and cheese compared to London grounds. Even had a fun chat with a couple of Scouse police walking to the ground ... one red and one blue ... taking the mikey out of each other.

I noticed the mixed replies, one lad that looks about 17 in his twitter photo seems to think we have been singing it since the 80s ???
Seems like some of these fans don’t like the NSK, probably doesn’t help the atmosphere in the North Stand. I’m not in that stand so don’t know what goes on.

Agree about songs, I would rather hear songs getting behind the team.

Ironic a load of 19/20 years old who probably pay next to no tax singing such a song. Especially as the north has much more disposable cash than the south in many parts.

I get paid the same as my counterparts in Yorkshire and Scotland. They are better off than me.

Mind you, this song came from the hymn book as 'You're just a small town in Villa'. So I wonder whether my tax paid into the education system was a bigger waste than any spent on benefits.

I used to work with an English lad that had a house close to Marseille, he used to earn his money in England but was very pro France and he was a keen cyclist. He always took the piss out of little old Brighton and laughed frequently when we were playing in Gillingham. I thought my time will come when the garlic crusher sees the mighty Albion in Europe. He was Mental.

You really haven't understood some of the posts at all.

Liverpool is a great city. Saturday is one of my favourite away games in recent times despite the result. We drank in a great pub and had a good chat with some friendly locals, were helped to the buses before and after the game and there was just the right amount of banter, with the one bellend in our section being laughed at by Brighton and Everton fans. But that's Everton. The last time I went to a Liverpool away game we drove and parked in one of the car parks a walk from the ground. Went into the nearest pub which was deserted. Five minutes after we got a pint a coach full of southerners in brand new replica Liverpool shirts pulled up and that was the atmosphere ruined.

If, by some miracle, we end up playing them in the Europa League final in Dublin an awful lot of NSCers will be in for a wake up call. Every hotel booked up including ticketless fans and those planning to jib, our section full of theirs who've bought off scalpers and flights full of 'scousers' with southern accents taking off from Gatwick. And you won't be able to mention it on here for more than one post before someone plays the Hillsborough card.

Everton and Liverpool fans are an absolute country mile apart in general, and I say that as someone who has a couple of very good Liverpool mates.

It's like you're all reading from a script!

I'm starting to think it's the deranged scarfers and 2nd club merchants that I dislike as much as the entitled "special" reds.

I'm allowed to dislike them and think they're twats. Being a Liverpool fan isn't a protected characteristic FFS!

Over the years I've seen plenty of vitriol about other clubs so where were you lot when people had a dig at Leeds, Chelsea, Burnley or Pompey fans? I don't remember anyone being called prejudiced on those threads.

Exactly this. Pages on here slagging the Pompey Twats, Noddy Little Reading, Plucky Little Bournemouth, European Champions Leeds and Sheffield Wednesday :lolol:

Yet a lot of our new users seem more keen on defending Liverpool FC than enjoying those threads.

I used to feel the same. Had the huge privilege of attending the Ireland v Holland game at Anfield. (Euro Play off in 95) I saw Liverpool in her party dress that night. Ireland playing a competitive international in Liverpool. What a night. I understood Liverpool after that, a great City with some wonderful pubs, and as for its musical history.

Errr ... where did @Colonel Mustard mention the team that play in red in his post above. He was talking about Liverpool the city and its people. He referenced the awful song some of our lot chanted at Everton fans ... you know ... those Scousers from Liverpool ... blues not reds!

I think it's someone else that's 'reading from a script'!
