Mansion House needs to improve its security. 30-40 women got inside without even being asked for ID, and wearing sashes which clearly stated they were protestors.

It’s a turn of phrase - ok, he escorted the criminal away from somewhere she shouldn’t have been - better? As I’ve used the hyperbole the other way there

I really really can’t see him slamming her into a pillar - she barely touches the pillar...

She bounces as she lands against it. She then lowers her head to protect herself. After that he grabs her neck.

Unsavoury incident without doubt but what do people expect when they break into somewhere / something they’re not meant to be. Either way, it’s a huge overreaction as per usual these days - social media to blame. Nice debating with you in a mature manor though :)

The only huge overreaction was Mark Field.

That's the point. Now we know she was but at the time we didn't. How do we know that she was taking Jo Brands advice and had battery acid on her.

So what you're saying is "but what about if the scenario had been completely different".

Read a previous post of mine with the BBC Tweet. They didn't break in, and weren't even asked for ID.
If you had seen a steward do that to someone at football, instead of just grabbing their arms to escort them out, you would complain.
There is footage of security talking to the women at the back before she strode forwards. Nobody else seemed to 'panic' as Field did.

That is a really good point. How many threads have we had on here regarding over zealous football stewarding. Tory MP though, it's all fine. :lolol:

The opening clip shows the very epitome of a frightened man taking action! The woman doesn't even try to fight back.

He is in fight or flight mode.

What a strange post. I think most people are aware of the fight or flight response to threat.

I personally have never felt threatened enough to launch into fight mode every time a lady brushes past the back of my chair. Can you imagine the carnage in theatres and restaurants!

I would suggest that any male who resorts to fighting when feeling mild threat from a female is not the big rufty tufty “real man” you are clearly trying to present yourself as but instead, something of a coward who bafflingly finds it acceptable to launch a woman out of a room by her neck after pushing her into a pillar.

If that that had happened to your wife or daughter you’d be the first to scream “assault”.

Trained security professionals would not have reacted like that and nor should he.
Anyway this wasn’t “fight or flight” it was attack and I should like to see his hands cut off. Hang him from Tower Bridge.

No I am sure you would fight, you would run for the hill gump style, we are different if I was an MP in today's environment and any stranger/protestor got within reach of me I would do exactly the same. The question is protestors have to realise not to intrude on a person or they risk the consequences, she got off lightly.

For the record, my wife or my daughter would NOT INVADE a private party.

If Corbyn had done exactly the same ( not that he would) your response would have been the exact opposite.

It's so hard to see Corbyn doing anything but running to the hills hand in hand with The CAMP and no he wouldn't he would be defending his territory, even Corbyn would be right to do it.

Mouldy Boots on a comedian making a joke and then qualifying it was a joke :

Mouldy Boots on man shoving female peaceful protester into wall and marching her out forcibly by the neck :

Brand was inciting all the nutters out there and causing tension that leads to responses like Fields did, the stress is high, and BLAND just stoked it up, silly moo.

*makes note to cancel the surprise 'woman bursting out of birthday cake' for MB's birthday party

It's funny you should say that, I once stood inside a tall box and one of my work companions asked this guy to put this box in the bin, as he lifted it I stuck my head out the top with a big loud OII, the colleague went mentally for about 2 minutes throwing punches into my body swinging for my head and then chasing me for about 200m, he was shaking for nearly an hour.
It was funny, and I knew the risks, I can still see the rage now he was in fight mode!

I know he has apologised, but let's face it he has too for the sake of Britains snowflakes.

He's the snowflake for being in flight or fight mode because of a women in a dress with a leaflet and a sash?

Look at your picture above, how many other guests are in flight or fight mode? None of them, not one of them looks threatened or in anyway about to fight or flight. They've got their hands in their laps calmly looking on.

Fight or flight mode and you talk about snowflakes! :lolol:

One often finds that the types who go around giving it the big I Am, are usually the ones when faced with danger, bottle it. I would say I have developed a healthy judgement of when to engage in force and when to walk around a fight. He should have definitely left this one to the professionals.

All this "fight or flight" nonsense is him (and a few of you) trying to rationalise the fact that he lost his temper and probably thought he'd be hailed a hero but it has backfired. Any way you try and spin it, when you look at that footage he uses excessive force.

"She shouldn't have been there". So? The law protects her from exactly the type of reaction Mark Field resorted to.

As an aside, for some bizarre reason it comes to no surprise to me that your work involves you spending time standing in a big box.
