I remember drooling over his Chile side along with some of NSCs more knowing cognoscenti a few World Cups ago. So yeah he's great.

Have any Leeds fans actually managed to convey why he’s the best coach in the world or whatever yet ?

I’ll do it for them

He turned Ben White from a League One donkey we didn’t even want into an England International in one season (needed to stay at Leeds to get the England shirt though).

Oh, and he has threatened disgruntled fans with a live grenade so Christ knows what lengths he goes to to get his points across to players.

Seriously? This is a Brighton forum. Who gives a ****?

Exactly.

I return to this forum in curiosity. after several days absence, and there is YET another long thread about Leeds. The NSC obsession with my club is becoming pathological. Why aren't you discussing the strengths and weaknesses of your own manager? Why do you care so much about someone elses? Your level of interest goes beyond the rational.

This will be my only post on the thread. I will not respond to the (expected) posts claiming that I AM obsessed myself with Brighton. I am not, but even were it true it is irrelevant to the point I am making that YOU are. (Except for the poster quoted here, whom I congratulate). That line of attack is whataboutery.

Can anyone tell me why all the threads, all the posts? This goes beyond Ben White, and it goes beyond my fellow fans, although you are undoubtedly enervated by them. Now you are comparing yourself to us by contrasting average gates figures for years when you were playing Manchester United and Liverpool and we were playing Millwall and Luton. You were at your peak and we in a trough and yet they were comparable and you find this amazing. Isn't it more remarkable that a similar (at least in the same ballpark) number came to watch us play Rotherham as they did you against Manchester City? You argue against your own thesis!

Is there an insecurity about how far you have come, (which is undeniably impressive, by the way) and are worried it may end at any moment?? Is it because Leeds are what you are not? Even though we have a far inferior squad, much less money, and rusting facilities you are seem jealous that we could hire a glamorous manager who was romantically attracted to us as a club and had no other reason than that to leave his country and family to live above a chippy, just to turn our fortunes round. (He turned down West Ham before joining us by the way, he didn't have to come; Marcelo chooses clubs, not the other way around).

My case is this, and if I am wrong refute it. (Ad hominem attacks on me won't do this by the way, let me tell you in advance, they are a logical fallacy because they don't address the point let alone answer it). Bielsa exemplifies something that you don't like to admit to yourselves. Every neutral football fan knows it and you do yourselves in your heart of hearts, hence this thread.

Leeds are what you are not.

Says man who goes to the trouble of setting up an account on another club's forum so they can spend their time writing long, waffling and meaningless diatribes :shootself

The reason there is so much discussion of Leeds is because, as Brighton fans, we have never come across bellendery on this scale, for which you are (albeit only very partly) responsible

I think Bielsa is a top Manager but how far away is he from retirement ? . We are definitely not jealous of your manager at all .Some of us are not sure about GP as he changes the team selection a lot but we will see We got some good away draws against good teams last season which got us into safety,if you can do that you will be a decent team this season .There is no insecurity all the fans are enjoying the Premier League but some don`t mind if we go back to Championship because the Premier League these days is all about who has got the most money .The main thing is we have got the Stadium and training ground .,the foundation is there .We just don`t understand why Leeds fans think you will go into the top six first season .All we want is to improve all the time and see some quality players and get higher up the table .

Bang average manager. I don’t understand a manager who never really invokes a plan b or c can be great.
