He will play the first half for Getafe, will sign his contract at half time on the pitch then play the second half for us
When he's our main striker at the level of a mid table side.
For example
Danny Ings
Raul Jimenez
Dominic Calvert-Lewin
For me that's the sort of quality we should be aspiring to as our main striker.
I bet you my house he doesn't even make an appearance on Saturday.
I bet you he does, won't be at the Amex mind.
So did we sign this player two years ago?
Maupay has scored 18 goals in his first 70 PL games. How does that compare?
Calvert-Lewin 11 goals in first 78 PL games
Ings 21 goals in first 73 PL games
Calvert-Lewin then scored 27 in his next 70.
Ings scored 34 in his next 67.
Jimenez less comparable, but scored 18 in his last 80 games in the Portuguese league before coming here.
He then got 30 in his first 76 PL games, at age 27 when he arrived.
All I'm saying is that its way too soon to write Maupay off. Most strikers take time to settle at the top level before they become prolific.

So the Argus reporting he doesn’t want to talk with agent about a move until after the Olympics.
I imagine wouldn’t be the case if was a big club in for him .
Not confident this one . In the running but waiting for a better offer elsewhere is my hunch . Rightly or wrongly
They don't get PL level TV money.Yer I wouldn't get hopes up about this one. Would be a strange transfer. Getafe similar sized club to us who have been in Europe recently beating the likes of Ajax.
