The silver lining being we're keeping him because we're now just as toothless away as we were under Hughton? Break out the champers.

The downside, of course, being last season’s outters running out with their pitchforks and lanterns shouting “I told you so”

I will not argue that yesterday was frustrating and aimless. More so than any other game this season imo

GP DID feck it up, but I’m going to give him a bit longer…I want my £100 from the bet made pre season on who would be sacked first :lolol:

It just seems an odd position. We do well and you're like "we'll never keep Potter now". We do badly and it's "yay he's staying". I know you're a bit more nuanced than that but wanting us to do badly to keep the coach is interesting.

Anyway, I'm already counting down to the F1. Football can do one for a bit. At least we agree on the F1!

They gave him a new, lengthy contract in the summer.
Absolute mugs.

Agreed, not sure I am up for two big disappointments in two days. Come on Lewis, keep this Championship alive.

I never want us to do badly I am just trying to find a positive after that absolute shitshow

Whatever undermines the credibility of any of the six clubs which secretly attempted to join a breakaway European Super League is okay by me....

The oracle has spoken- Ole is no more unfortunately. A very sad day for the rest of the league - that reign was so much fun to watch. We can only hope that the next managerial appointment is similarly ludicrous.

Zidane, Simeone and ten Hag would all be top drawer appointments in theory (although Zidane speaks no English, not sure about Simeone on that score- and possibly those 2 are not crazy enough to come to ManU in this state anyway).

On the basis those 3 would be good calls, knowing ManU they won’t get any of them and it’ll be Brendan Rodgers - who I think would be exposed as out of his depth, he’s found his level and it’s mid-table Prem.

I really, really want them to appoint Roy Keane.

Just imagine his team talks, and pressers,.

I know it won’t happen, but United should be made to do it.

The significant words in that report are, "There has been no official confirmation." End of.

The thread starter is at least eight hours premature. posting speculation as fact.

Anybody who posts end of, has no argument.

Why are you trying to get TomandJerry banned?

Posting his speculation as fact. 'Ban' was an ironic exaggeration - didn't expect anyone would do it, but emphasising that posting false news is a bit meh.

And - just to repeat what I said before, which you seem to have been unable to take on board - yes, I do expect ManU to sack him .......... BUT IT HASN'T HAPPENED YET! OP thread is incorrect - 'Gone' he is not.

The BBC are a very nervous news agency so for them to be reporting it shows he's gone.

New manager bounce to kick in on 17th December?

Yep. Although perversely I think a comfortable ManU victory would have saved Ole for a bit longer anyway (a brilliant strike by Rashfrd, finally a goal for Sancho, and a couple of snidey ones from Ronnie)

They are on 17 points, the same as us, but they have this attacking flair:

Ronaldo
Rashford
Greenwood
Martial
Cavani
Sancho
Lingard
Fernandes

Compare to us. I’d swap ALL of our attacking players for any 2 of theirs!

Maupay
Welbeck (permacrocked)
Trossard
Connolly
Locadia
Sarmiento
Mac Allister
March

What a shite job Ole has done and typically, we get to play the new manager rather than him.

Laughable.

They have Ronaldo, Fernandes, Rashford, Sancho, Pogba, De Gea, McGuire and a third the way into the season and they are 7th. Sorry, but that is dire. As for OGS, he's done nothing managerially and it is painfully obvious he doesn't have a clue how to influence games positively.

McGuire is the joke here?
